Hi and welcome! Im assuming you want a pneumatic flipper? Then you have a choice of either low pressure CO2 or compressor powered, or full pressure CO2, i suggest for now you keep away from the FP co2 as its very powerfull and dangerous. I suggest for a start using a compressor driven system, use the sort of ones you get from halfords for pumping up your car tyres. You might struggle to get a powerfull flip, but you can later upgrade to a LP co2 system once you have the machine running well. For this sort of setup you need:
Ram/Cylinder (probably around a 32-50mm bore)
Valve (either a 5/2 or 3/2 depends if you want it to have a powered return)
Buffer tank (bigger the better)
Pressure switch (this will turn the compressor off when it reaches the desired pressure)
You can get alot of stuff from http://www.technobots.co.ukwww.technobots.co.uk
Also ask on here as some roboteers might have some stuff for sale.

if you got msn you could talk to many roboteers what have it and get alot of advice.
or ask someone like myself to build it for you to fit yourself... budget permitting of course
Hi James
What would you say the cost of building a low pressure system? And would you be prepared to help?
Thanks everyone for your help Alex
e-mail me on james@xbotz.com and id be happy to help.
