thank you, thank you, thank you

Matty, I remember how you gently pushed me back towards vapourboteering somewhere last year, didnt really work out back then though, but it pretty much works out right now doesnt it?^^

to come back to your earlier question, Aaron, Im more then willing to write some of the fights in your tournament, the fights featuring my own vapours that is

and Richard, Series 2 of this tournament will probably need 12 tournaments, your vapours could be an awesome addition

Youre forgetting that more speed= Less control.

If better speed equals less control, then thats retarded. Should I enter a 1mph robot so that it can have better control than a 20mph robot? His robot is faster, so he can make reactions faster. My 1mph robot shouldnt be able to get around to the sides of a 20mph robot, hes faster so he can turn faster and stop me from doing anything.

Theres a reason why people want to have faster robots, so that they can get from point A to point B faster than the other robot. With them being faster, they can run circles around your robot and manuver better. I mean, of course having a gigantic speed stat isnt be best thing, but 22mph is hardly gigantic. And Im not going to go at that speed all the time, its just my max speed.

    Now;

-Unlike Minion, Mega Masher is invertable. Youre also forgetting that Minion is a Super-Heavyweight.

I know Minion is a SHW, dont insult me. Minions shape is just a big wedge with a small disc at the front. It would be impossible to make it invertible unelss you had some giant wheels. In fact, Im not even sure you know what it looks like. Take a look here: http://www.battlebots.com/meet_the_robots3/meet_robot_specs.asp?id=1
    http://www.battlebots.com/meet_the_r...specs.asp?id=1

Also, I never implied that your robot wasnt invertible. I saw it in the stats. I never implied that your robot was a SHW.

All the other stuff, however, still applies. All the other stuff, Ill still be able to take advantage of.

-Anthony is right, more speed does equal less control.

    See the first writing.

-Im not going to immediatly try to push you into Tengu...Im not stupid.

So... what are you going to try and do then? Just have me infront of Tengu so that he cant get to you? I think you are forgetting that Tengu can actually, you know, MOVE. He has an awesome top speed, so he can just go around me to you.

-What do you mean Have I forgotten? I never saw that. All I know is that Tengu is WAY too dangerous to attack.

Here, check what I said. Its clearly in my post that Im saying what youve forgotten.

Have you forgotten that I have extremely superior torque and traction to that of yours?

Of course, I made that post when it looked like you were going to try and run right into my arms so that you would ram me into Tengu.

-When you grab me, youll be piercing thin air.

Um...why? Dude, when I grab you, Ill have you between my arms. You wouldnt be able to back out because Ill be pushing while my claws close on you.

-Im not coming ramming in...Im going in carefully, disc your sides, then quickly drive forward.

Uh huh. Right, because my Two wheels, plus my 22mph speed will definatly make me not be able to turn in time to meet your disc and clam you...

-Well, MY 0 turning circle means Ill be just as nimble on MY feet.

    Except that youre slower.

-Alex cant stick around doing nothing...hed lose a judges decition for sure.

Yup, I agree on this. Tengu should have to do something... but thats Alexs problem. Not mine.

-And finally, did I EVER say anything about me pushing you into Tengu? No. Youre a living barrier.

It was a misconception. I thought it would have been a good tactic for you to try and ram into my arms so that I go back a bit into Tengu... but... meh. Like I said, misconception.

Also, like I said before, how can I really be a barrier? Tengu is able to move around me, he has good enough speed to do so.

Finally, like I said before (Or at least I think I did). Can you PLEASE post the stats in the tournament youre entering? I mean, just saying that theyre in PT7 or whatever isnt all that good because I have to wade through a bunch of stuff to get through it. At least link it to the page its on. Its just a little bit of consideration.

I owe Chris and thing or two, and I haven€™t had a big rant for a while so here I go€¦

His robot is faster, so he can make reactions faster

That isn€™t true. The reactions of a robot are all dependant on the reactions of the driver and efficiency of the radio gear. Speed doesn€™t help in that sense.

With them being faster, they can run circles around your robot and manuver better

Again, that€™s a load of rubbish. No robot can €œrun circles around another€ and why would they want to? Manoeuvring better is all down to what method of steering is used and in some cases how many wheels are used or if the robots have skirting. A robot with 10 wheels, car steering and skirts isn€™t going to manoeuvre as well as a robot with two wheels, tank steering and no skirting. Ground clearance can pay a part in this too but I won€™t go into that.

because my Two wheels, plus my 22mph speed will definatly make me not be able to turn in time to meet your disc and clam you...

That would require extreme driver skill to perfectly do that in a split second. I don€™t know what you don€™t understand about speed. The more speed, the less accurate your robot will be and the more it will move with one push of the stick. You try to turn a small amount on the spot and chances are the speed momentum will make the robot carry on further than you wanted it too. The higher the speed the lower the acceleration too, to the robot will be unlikely to get off the mark as quick as a slower robot (in this case both your opponents).

    Except that youre slower

Which means Mega Masher has better manoeuvrability, yes.

Sorry about that Martijn, but it needed to be done. People who don€™t understand the laws of physics should go back and play with point systems.
