To make things for round 1 easy for me, team up with Alex. Clamp CDM from the sides, ram it into the windmill, slam it into the walls and let Alex get it, try to pit it after a while of torturing.
    Wooty fights as usual Martijn.

Clawdius Decimus Murderous vs SUNCUST vs The Windmill

Clawdius Decimus Murderous: A very sleek and skirted wedge equipped with a powerful and sharp crushing claw.

SUNCUST: A skirted invertible box, with some nasty vertical grabbing jaws at the front.

The Windmill: A weird looking invertible body, with skirts around all 4 wheels and a nasty horizontal bar mounted at the front.

    3€¦ 2€¦ 1€¦ Activate!

The Windmill is the quickest bot today€™s fight has to offer, and at 18 mph the Dutch spinner rushes into battle, the bar still spinning up. Also coming in is SUNCUST, and much to everyone€™s surprise, when The Windmill and SUNCUST meet each other, they don€™t seem to have a go at each other, no, they seem to be aiming for Clawdius! Enter Steve, although the Scottish Boy Wonder has the slowest vapour today, he hasn€™t got the slowest mind when it comes to robotic combat. When he sees his two opponents coming in, he shows off with some agile dodging before ramming his low wedge underneath The Windmill€™s side, who can€™t escape when the mighty claw comes down. Tony sees this happening and immediately decides for some action. While Clawdius is still crushing down, SUNCUST rams into its front-corner, which lacks skirts, and grabs the Scottish machine between its own crushers. It€™s a weird sight when The Windmill gets crushed by Clawdius, who in turn gets crushed by SUNCUST, who is currently on top of the food chain. Tony utilises this position and accelerates his machine forwards, effectively slamming both his opponents into the wall! When both crushers loosen their grip, a gaping hole can be seen on top of The Windmill€™s body! Seemingly damaged quite badly, Alex does a quick check-up€¦ Blade is spinning? Check. Machine is still driving? Check! Relieved Alex drives his machine away from danger, and so do Steve and Tony. With SUNCUST still driving away, it€™s The Windmill who makes a U-turn and comes in for revenge on Clawdius, which is trying to do the dodgy-thing again. This time however, Clawdius€™ questionable manoeuvrability lets Steve down, and the PTT-writer (well€¦ until recently ) has to deal with a Dutch spinning bar slamming into its side! With a nasty dent in his side and the particular side-skirt looking a bit wobbly now, Steve is surprised to suddenly here a loud siren. The surprise turns into fear though, when Steve sees the arena pit descending! Tony decided it was time to open it and now joins the fray again. Steve drives backward to avoid another rendezvous with his 2 rivals, who give chase instantly. Steve doesn€™t want to give his prosecutors an easy victory though, and he turns his crusher around to meet the machine right behind him, which happens to be the fast Windmill, and unleash an attack. Alex manages to dodge this onslaught though, saving himself, but rendering SUNCUST vulnerable in the process. Steve doesn€™t lose speed and drives straight into and underneath the front of SUNCUST, before his mighty crusher comes down. Still at maximum velocity, Clawdius chances direction with SUNCUST in its clutches, and with The Windmill giving chase. The Windmill€™s rescue attempt seems to be in vain though, when Clawdius happens to reach the edge of the open pit, and relentlessly opens his giant beak. When The Windmill comes in from behind, SUNCUST is freed from Clawdius€™ hold, and stuck in the open pit.

GeForce 4.0 vs Kali vs Panicking

GeForce 4.0: A sleek, sloped and skirted wedge, with a good amount of traction and, most important, a seriously powerful rear hinged flipper.

Kali: A six-wheeled box, much like Storm 2 actually, with lotsa traction, speed and a Biohazard style flipper, much like Storm 2 really (except this one is pnuematic ).

Panicking: Yet another six-wheeled invertible box with good traction, only this one is equipped with a pair of skirts and a nice pair of lifting forks.

    3€¦ 2€¦ 1€¦ Activate!

Our two box-shaped robots have a rather quick start and already enter the arena-centre while Andy€™s still looking where he left his controller. A reckless Kali collides head-on with Panicking in his first assault. The angle of collision isn€™t exactly in Alex€™ favour though, and Martyn€™s machine slides off the front of Kali before Alex can get any advantage of his position. In the meanwhile, Andy managed to locate his might controller again the relatively slow GeForce comes in to join the fray. Andy goes straight for Kali, who just saw his own attack fail, and rams his wedge underneath the rambot€™s back. Well underneath his opponent, Andy sees it€™s time to show what his vapourbot is capable of and fires his mighty flipper! The results are impressive and Alex€™ creation is flung into the air! The recently recovered Panicking is out for vengeance and sets course towards the spot where Kali€™s gonna land. When said thing happens, Alex finds his machine on it€™s back and under attack by Panicking. A mighty crash is heard when Martyn€™s rambot comes smashing into and underneath Kali€™s side. To gain better control over its opponent, Panicking€™s forks are raised and Kali is lifted. At this moment, Alex decides it€™s time to activate his own flipping weapon. Escaping CO2 is heard and the silver box called Kali turns 180 degrees through the air before landing on its six wheels again. Panicking is on a warpath though and sets course for GeForce, closely followed by Kali who can€™t stay behind. Panicking and GeForce show some driving-skills by impressively manoeuvring around each other, both wanting to drive their weapons straight underneath each other. It€™s Panicking who comes out the fray as the least fortunate, when Kali comes driving in from the fork-armed vapour is rammed straight on top of Andy€™s wedge, and now finds itself stuck on two vapours! A smile appears on the faces of both Andy and Alex when they fire their flippers simultaneously. If you thought the previous flip of GeForce was impressive, you should definitely see this! Panicking is flipped meters into the air, moving straight up since the force in forward direction produced by GeForce€™s flipper gets undone by Kali€™s, and vice versa [/physics]. Andy doesn€™t have the patience to wait for Pannicking to come down though, and with one vicious sweep at the control-button GeForce moves forwards, towards Kali who€™s still standing in front of him. Alex is unable to dodge an attack from this close and can do nothing when Andy€™s brutal flipper wedges the Stormish vapour. With Panicking falling on the ground right behind him, Andy shoves Kali towards the nearest arena-wall, Kali finding itself unable to do anything about it! The wedge-bot fires its flipper, and Kali flies into the air, straight over the wall!

    ROUND 2
    1) GeForce 4.0 VS The Windmill
Rack up one more OOTA for the Gravity homage

    2) CLAWDIUS DECIMUS MURDEROUS VS Panicking
Marty has the better speed, but he also has the poorer control as a result. Keep to the sides wherever possible and slip under the skirts (a bit easier, seeing as theyre hinged). Clamp onto the shell (or get the claw in one of the wheel housings if Im lucky) and drag it round to as many obstacles as I can find before pitting.

Good to see the Noise hasnt died down just yet, Marti.
