((What a good way to mark my 2000th post))
Powerpoint The Thrasher 5 (PTT5)
Weight- 91.2kg (WDOR)
Dimensions- L- 60cm, W- 90cm, H- 28cm
Speed- 16.7mph, 7.5m/s
Shape- resembles a spanner, with the tightening bits at the side.
Ground Clearance- Not too big, but not tiny either, probably around 4mm
Turning circle- Minimal, if not nil
Armour- 1cm Grade 5 titanium all over, weighing a total of 38.88156kg
Power- 12 x 2480mAh, Apogee Lithium Polymer batteries, running at 11.1V each, but run in series to crank it up to a limit of just 24V as this is all we need and they weigh a total of just 1.86kg. They power 2 PERM-PMG-080€™s running at 24V and weigh a total of 6.1818182kg and produce 7.9BHp. The motors are geared down at a ratio of 14:1
Locomotion- We€™re using wheels from off-road skateboards for the main powered central reasons, and then we have 8 wheels from normal skateboards mounted on all corners top and bottom for extra stability.
Removable Link- The removable link is in the centre of the top of the machine, directly above the weapon.
Weapon- In the centre of the spanner form, there is a 50cm diameter horizontal disc, running off 2 x LEM 130€™s running on a reduced gearing to just 2000RPM . This will produce just over 10Kj, but the numerous little teeth on the outside (about 250 of them) will constantly chew at the surface. The whole disc is made of 1cm titanium and weighs just 9.2kg.
Srimech- Invertible
Strengths- Invertible, Nippy, Hard To Get Hold Of
Weaknesses- Slightly tricky to drive, Weapon will not damage thick armour

Locomotion- 4 240mm foam filled wheels
Power- 4 x S28-150 Magmotors, producing 11.72BHp
Removable Link Position- Underneath rear skirt about 10cm back.
Weapon 1- The skirts. These are angled to lie dead flat on the ground, as well as being at 37 degrees, which is an optimum angle for sliding underneath. These are to drag robots up, to counteract flippers, and to provide a way of combining defence with the offence.
Weapon 2- On top of the machine is an 18kg spinning bar powered by a single LEM 130 off 48V. it spins at 2600rpm and produces a nasty 83Kj of energy, which we predict should be able to nicely cut through up to a cm of titanium.
Srimech- Another incredible part of the machine. When we are flipped, the bar naturally slows down. When the speed reduces to a speed of around 60rpm, at which point such action will not damage the mechanism, 2 latches will automatically stop the blade from spinning. This will enable us to fire 2 low pressure arms, each with around 14 fires before the pressure drops. This should be enough per fight
Strengths- Good all-round machine
Weaknesses- Can be beaten by a strong, fast, powerful flipper as well as a couple of single machines that shan€™t be named. Very little will beat this one as it is designed along the same line as Spinverter, in the sense that it€™s the best of everything in a small package.
Chassis- 10kg
Armour- 32kg
Batteries- 9kg
Motors- 6.8kg
Weapons- 22kg (Skirts in armour)
Weapon Power- 12kg
Electronics- 7kg
TOTAL- 98.8KG
Hacked off Ha-ka
Weight- 89.4kg- (WDOR)
Dimensions- H- 40cm, L- 1m, W- 70cm
Speed- 13.3mph or 5.3 m/s
Shape- 2 x 35 degree wedges about 40cm long, with a 3ocm box section in the middle.
Locomotion- 4x Solid aluminium hubs with old karting wets around it
Ground Clearance- 1mm at sides, 3mm at rear, 0 at front
Turning Circle- 0
Power- 4x Dustin motors running on 36V powered by 3 TMC 36V batteries/ They produce a total of 8.84BHp
Armour- 5mm Aluminium Boron Carbide
Weapon 1- A larger hammer than before weighing 11.5kg. It runs off some very nice 1000psi nitrogen rams, and produces around 4 tonnes at the beginning and about 2.7 towards the end. At the beginning I€™d say it€™d cut through 8mm titanium in 2 or 3 swift hits. It€™s double sided, with one Terrorhurtz style blade, and one Mortis one.
Weapon 2- A small strip of ti/vanadium alloy that should enable each wedge to slide under easier
Removable Link Position- Under a small 6mm steel electromagnetically secured panel at the back of the robot.
Srimech- invertible, but the axe will right it if necessary due to the fact that the head is angled back into a hole, which keeps the head inside the body.
Strengths- Powerful weaponry, Manouvreable, good acceleration, well armoured
Weaknesses- Not the best pushing power, limited CO2.

Veg 2
Weight- 100.2kg (WDOR)
Speed- 12.8mph 5.7 m/s
Dimension- H- 23cm W- 70cm L- 93cm
Shape- Low wedge, with extra steeper wedge part at back.
Locomotion- 2 x drilled aluminium boron carbide wheels, with custom cut tyres made from an old conveyer belt. These have miniature diamond shavings in to allow extra traction. They stick out at an angle out of the back wedge. However, they have wheel guards to protect them, which show nothing but the bit that hits the floor.
Ground clearance- 0 at front, 0-5mm at sides, 2mm at rear.
Turning circle- 0
Armour- 5mm Nanoflex, with wheel guards and flipper being made from 7mm
Power- 2 x S28-400 motors running at 24V producing 9BHp but only weighing 6.2 kg. We€™ve got 2x 24V TMC batteries powering them.
Removable link position- about half way down in the wedge at the back.
Weapon- A Helium powered flipper, with 4x 2kg canister running at 750 psi. This should have around 35 flips in it and should be able to toss robots about 3-4 feet into the air. It can be cranked up to 1000psi or cranked down to 500, changing the flips level by 10 each way, and upping/downing the flip height by about a foot.
Srimech- Invertible and capable of flipping ala Rick both ways up.
Strengths- Powerful weapon, invertible, good manouvreability
Weaknesses- Not quite sure yet, possibly low on traction with 2WD, but htose wheels are well gripped.

BIACS-LE
Weight- 100.3kg (WDOR)
Dimensions- H- 65cm, L- 65cm, W- 75cm
Speed- 11mph, 5.1 m/s
Shape- Somewhere between S6 Sabretooth and Atilla the Drum.
Locomotion- 2x Motorbike wheels with screws embedded. These are bigger diameter than the robot itself.
Ground Clearance- Massive
Turning Circle- 0
Armour- A cage made from a 3mm titanium mesh with moulded 8mm fibre glass armour over that.
Power- 2x S28-400€™s at 24V giving 9BHp. These are powered by some TMC batteries at 24V.
Removable link position- Inside the left wheel, as far in as possible whilst keeping it accessible.
Weapon- As before, the weapon is a 300mm 18kg vertical disc on an arm, which can swing right through the whole arc of the robot, and is capable of coming down with a thump. The blades are mounted diagonally, which means that they are capable of both flipping and ripping. The cage can also swing over the top, protecting the axle and wheels from the side that is unprotected by the disc. This means that other than the cage, nothing can be damaged apart from the disc. It should produce about 62Kj. It€™s powered by another S28-400 on 24V and has a spin-up time of 4.7 seconds.
Srimech- Invertible
Strengths- Powerful weaponry. Manouvreable, Strong
Weaknesses- Low traction, slow acceleration.

Locomotion- 4 x wooden wheels with custom cut conveyer belt treads.
Ground Clearance- Average of 0 at front, 2mm everywhere else
Turning Circle- 0
Armour- 5mm Hardox, with 2mm Polypropylene laminate
Power- 4 x 1.7BHp DeWalt motors on 24V, powered by 4 packs of 24v Nicads.
Removable Link position- underneath a hatch at the back and about 13cm in.
Weapon Setups- Including bolts, positioning and add-ons, weapons will way no more than 35kg, bringing the weight with maximum setup weight, to 96kg. There has been one designed for each weapon I can think of, so here they are.
The anti-axe weapon. An extra 20cm box extension, with a 8kg bar. It spins at 1500 rpm and only produces around 20Kj, however the idea is that the inertia will deliver a shock to the internals, whilst spinning them, putting the axe off course as well, rendering the generally uni-directional weapon useless. 26kg weight
The anti-crusher weapon. Most crushers use hydraulics and therefore are slow self-righting. Therefore this setup is a longish wedge, with a Voltronic style lifter, with the teeth on as well, whereby we€™ll flip them over and then try and stop them getting back over by trying to grip them with the static teeth on the top of the lifter. The wedge is made from 4mm Hardox, whilst the arm is 1cm titanium. 34kg weight.
The anti-drum weapon. It€™s the anti-flipper weapon, but the wedges are 6mm Hardox that saves around 7kg. The rest of this is used to create an entanglement device, which is cargo nets folded back on themselves and covering the whole machine bar the top. It€™s attached reasonably loosely in order to snag the weapon as opposed to letting them get stuck in it. 35kg weight
The anti-flipper weapon. 2 short but well angled 7mm Hardox wedges. Each weighs 18kg and is positioned in parallelogram format in order to counteract flippers who should get underneath the sides. 36kg weight
The anti- FBS weapon- A hinged wedge with the wedge being slightly bowled ala Ramthrax. A linear actuator run off 48V powers it, and it has the capability to lift 400kg and to lift around 240kg out of the arena. Weight 33kg
The anti-horizontal spinner weapon- It€™s almost exactly the same weapon as the anti axe weapon, except the front has a 9kg bucket scoop made from titanium, and the bar is at the back. The idea is that we ram with the scoop, but should the spinner hit us, we€™ll spin around, and their own weapon will position them perfectly for an attack by the bar. Weight 35kg
The anti- pincer weapon- All pincers will have to either go to the back, in which case we have added 2 20x 30 7mm Hardox panels in order to stop them there, as well as a box extension with a pneumatically appearing drill. This is because on most crusher bots, the ram as well as the axe has to be exposed between the pincers, so if we grab them, we€™ll just fire straight at it and hopefully break the bastard€™s weapon! Weight 31kg
The anti- rammer weapon- This was the hardest one to design a weapon for, but possibly the easiest. Every side face has 3 sets of 7mm Hardox bars each of which has a series of titanium and carbon ramming spikes. The top and bottom set will help prevent them sliding underneath, whilst the middle sets will be doing the damage as the spikes there are 15cm long as opposed to 8.- Weight 36kg
The anti- vertical disc weapon- The best way I can think of getting rid of vertical discs is to keep flipping them over. However, I also thought that you can€™t keep doing that, so you€™ve got to keep damaging them as well. We therefore have one of our 18kg wedges with a 11kg steel drum with 4 titanium blades powered by 2 LEM130€™s, which spins at 2300rpm and produces 7Kj. This is not a lot, but will flip another robot over easily, and will kill weaker robots armour. Weight- 35kg
The anti- MDU/Tengu/Tempest weapon- One of the 14.5kg 6mm hardox wedges, with the added weight being used to stick extra 1cm hardox panels on the other 3 sides. Hopefully able to deflect attacks whilst ramming them around. Weight- 36kg
The anti- The Disc weapon- The Disc can only hit things that are between the wheels. Therefore we are too long to go between them, so we have 2 weapons that will completely negate the disc. We have a large 7mm titanium static bar at the back, around 1m wide, which not only will stop them disking us, but will make it harder for them to ram us as well. At the front, we have a lightweight lithium carbide wedge, which is also around 1mm wide and weighs around 14kg. Weight- 27kg
Srimech- Invertible
Strengths- Multi-weaponry enables weapon to be chosen for particular opponents. Good pushing power when used in conjunction with weaponry
Weaknesses- Can be flipped from sides and back.

Heimlich 2
Weight- 98 kg
Dimensions- H- 40cm - 65cm W- 60cm L- 85cm
Speed- 14mph
Shape- Very much like Razer
Ground Clearance- 0 at front, 1mm everywhere else

Armour- 6mm Plasma Nitride coated Titanium
Locomotion- 4 small rubber wheels, supported by metal framework
Power- 4 Bosch 750€™s producing 4BHp powered by A large 24V battery salvaged from a Makita charger, and weighing approximately 3kg
Failsafe Position- In a hole under the arm in a place where it doesn€™t reach.
Paint Scheme- Wheely Bin Green
Weaponry- A front Hydraulic €œCrusher€ style crusher running of a ram and squeezing with a force of 7 tonnes at the tip. It has also extended the idea Razer had with the 2nd claw for lifting as when the arm is full down, a hook shaped arm, welded about 7/8 the way down the crusher, which will scrape along just above the floor, meaning that if a crush has been missed, or using the lifter is more effective, we have versatile weaponry
The crusher is made of 6mm Hardox and can crunch through about 4mm Hardox. The other design feature of the crusher, is that that crusher head, is a lot like the axehead on the Stinger arm. This means that the pressure will get less as the hole widens, as it means that the force is less, as the area of the ram gets higher. This enables us to easily drop robots as opposed to getting stuck on the ram. The ram will only go in about 10cm as well, as opposed to the 25cm that Razer boasts. This is perfect for cosmetic damage and batteries, as well as fail-safes.
Srimech- 2 small electric arms on the side of the robot
Strong Against- Slow robots, Robots with high Ground Clearance
Weak Against- Other crushers, Axes
Robot most compared to- Crusher
House robot most feared- Mr. Psycho
Strengths- Powerful arm, controllable
Weaknesses- Slow self-righting, Low pushing power
And for my realie I shall take Voltronic.
