FROM EAST TILBURY IN ESSEX; SPAWN AGAIN
No robot is faster than Spawn Again, even if they wanted to. This high wedge shape robot doesnt take any competitors lying down, it has a massive flipper that not only flips long, but high. In fact, it could probably go down as one of the largest flippers in the competition. It has a high success rate as well, being a semi finalist on four occasions. However, Spawn Again is well known for its reliability problems, so it may not be long until it dies...again.

FROM LINCON; STINGER
A grand finalist in the fourth series of Robot Wars, Stinger remains one of the most original robots around. This robot is essentially two giant wheels with a very large, VERY dangerous arm, tipped witha nasty bludgeioning spike. It can act as a mace, a spike, an axe, whatever it wants to be, all swinging down at maximum damage. All the electronics, motors ext are mounted in the giant wheels. Nevertheless, said wheels are very vulnerable.

And the third round of the War of Independence UK tournament is off and underway. Stinger charges at Spawn Again, but meerly bounces off, just as Spawn Again fires its flipper. Wasted flip from the Spawn Again boys. Stinger starts spinning, as we know it will, crazily. Spawn Again appears to be reluctant to approach. I dont blame it. I dont like the armour protecting on Spawn Again, it looks lightweight. Itll have to come in sooner or later though. It does so...OH, DEFLECTION! Good deflection by Stinger, causing a slight scratch on Spawn Agains armour. However, it has also stopped Stinger from spinning. Spawn Again quickly comes charging in...it may not get another chance...and flips Stinger! But how do you flip a robot like Stinger successfully? You cant! Its all wheels. Stinger surges forward...or is it backwards?...and runs right over the top of Spawn Again! Spawn Again hits the pit release button. After all, Stinger does have bad control. Spawn Again continues to give chase after the Stinger machine. Stinger stops, surges forward, stops again, slams that huge mace like device onto the flipper of Spawn Again. Stinger is certainly causing the most damage at the moment...but Stinger, in reversing, has suddenly got its huge spike caught underneath a grinder! This doesnt look promising! I feared all along the control may be a problem! In comes Spawn Again, underneath Stinger. Freeing it from the arena grinder...BUT FLIPPING IT OUT OF THE ARENA!! Out goes Stinger! Who expected that? Stinger, totally in command, are out of the War of Independence!

CEASE

Stinger has been...well, stung!
SPAWN AGAIN GOES THROUGH!

And finally...

FROM ESSEX; 259
Its only a little, three digit number, but WHAT a robot it makes! 259 is next to awesome in combat! This robots body isnt that big, just a small, low box with four wheels and skirts all the way around. However, the weapon...the vertical flywheel...is MASSIVE! And it works! Armour and weapons can be torn effortlessly off oppodents just by touching it. Again, however, the robot is not exactly reliable, and can, will and has, often self-destructed on oppodents.

FROM SAWTRY IN CAMBRIDGESHIRE; TORNADO
The winners of Series 6, Tornado has beaten almost every single All Star robot there is, including Chaos 2, Pussycat, Hypno-Disc and Razer. Another low, flat box on wheels, Tornado is invertible and doesnt care about being flipped at all. It also has incredible pushing power, and can push pretty much anything. Worst of all, it has an interchangable weapons section at the front, where they can put on a spinning flywheel, a wedge with flail and a lifting arm. All in all, a tough cookie...until it meets someone with similar pushing power, when at that point, all of the hard work is undone.

Two incredibles, if you ask me. The massive flywheel of 259 against the humungous pushibility of Tornado. Who comes out on top? Well, at the moment, the aggresser is Tornado, who has already dodged the front blade and comes in on an angle, missing the disc and getting in underneath the side skirts! Dont forget, 259 has the habit of self-destructing, and if Tornado can get to the belt driving their disc, or even better, the chain driving their wheels, it could be all over! Tornado SLAMS 259 into the arena wall! The three numbered machine bounces off the wall, upright (thankfully). Is the disc still spi...yes it is! Again, a relief for Adam Clark, the captain, and indeed the entire team of 259. 259 turns back onto the attack! It needs to get a good hit on Tornado...AND DOES SO! Tornados front end is flung upwards! Tornado lands apparantly seriously unharmed and tries to attack from the side again, but 259 beats him to it AND LANDS ANOTHER STUNNING HIT!! Tornado ends up doing a HEADSTAND!! Again, it crashes down again! 259 pauses, then HITS IT AGAIN! Similar result, but not as spectacular. Tornado lands again, 259 pauses...and pauses...and pauses...is there something wrong with 259? It isnt moving...but come to think of it, neither is Tornado! Has that bashing immobilised BOTH of them? It appears so! Refbot is coming in to see if he can nudge a bit of life back into the beaten machines...but no, he is counting BOTH of them down! Thats a surprise!

CEASE!

Well, what a surprise. Both robots knocked out, so the judges will have to see who was immobilised first...

TO BE CONTINUED!
