FROM HEMEL HEMPSTEAD IN HERTFORDSHIRE; BEHEMOTH
A huge truck like robot and a real veteran of the wars, this robot is not to be under-rated by any means. Well, how many robots do you know that can take on Hypno-disc and receive minimal damage? Behemoth is a six-wheel drive machine powering to speeds of 12mph, with its main weapon being a titanium bucket scoop, coupled with a nasty axe to grapple and damage. Its strong, and almost unbeatable...at least it would be if it didnt have so many reliability problems.
FROM HAMPSHIRE; KING B POWERWORKS
A semi-finalist in Series 2, Kking B Powerworks still thunders along to glory...well, maybe it stumbles more than thunders. A low slung invertable robot based somewhat on a grand finalist from Series 1, the King delivers his command with two lifting spikes at the front and an 8000rpm spinning blade at the back. Axes and spinners are best avoided for this fragile king, as its wheels are vulnerable, and the king may be over-throne and re-tyred early.
FROM WORCHESTER; PUSSYCAT
...But I must warn you, hes anything but cuddly! This interesting pyramid shaped robot is one of the oldest robots around, and still fairly successful. Its weapon is a double edged eight toothed blade capable of some very nasty damage. And if that wasnt enough, the position of its wheels allow it to run any way up, hence its name. All in all, a very strong contender, but its wheels are exposed and the ground clearance is too high.
FROM DUNSTHORPE IN LEICESTER; S3
Veterans of the wars with previous machine Sting (S3=Sting 3, if you think about it), this new robot has had plenty more luck, and a LOT more bite! Shaped a bit like a hammerhead shark, S3s major weapon is a very large vertical flywheel, weighing in at about 17 kilos or so, and spinning at speeds of around 1000rpm. Destructivity is HIGH, as Plunderbird and Mousetrap have all too easily found out. However, it has a wide turning circle, and I think the aluminium armour could be thicker.
ROBOTEERS STAND BY
Booth 1: Behemoth, King B Powerworks
Booth 2: Pussycat, S3
House Robots: Shunt, Growler
3...2...1...ACTIVATE!
And the second group of four is off and underway. This group has even more experience than the previous group. Go back to Series 2, and youd see all four of these robots in lesser forms. Anyways, the first clash is Behemoth on King B Powerworks. The king is lifted. And flipped. That wont worry it though. It can run both ways up. Pussycat gets a nibble in on Behemoth with the saw blade. S3 is heading towards Pussycat...AND IT HITS THE SIDE! A NASTY GASH FORMS! S3 is evil! It can literally tear another robot to shreds. It is, first and foremost, not a robot you want to get angry. Behemoth comes in though, and gets underneath S3 from behind the wheel. He flips, and S3 lands on its side. S3 is now rolling around, trying to get back off. This could cause a few problems. Meanwhile Pussycat is having a clash with King B Powerworks. The cat trying to use the blade, but King B pushing back. Its similar in many ways, King B Powerworks, to a former Grand Finalist way back in series 1 called T.R.A.C.I.E, with the low slung body and the ability to run both ways up. Im not sure how many of you remember. Meanwhile, S3 still hasnt recovered. Behemoth will now do the charge...it is, moving the hammerhead shark to the arena wall...AND FLIP! S3 flys out of the arena...OH, BUT WHACKS BEHEMOTH WITH ITS DISC ON THE WAY OVER! Talk about a wounded animal fighting back. And that blow stunned Behemoth. Meanwhile, Pussycat has now worked its way around the side of King B Powerworks. The spikes dont appear to be working. Is the saw spinning? I dont think so. What a truly spectacular performance by Pussycat. What could it take to stop them. What damage has King B Powerworks taken in all of this...AND WHAT DID THAT BLOW BY S3 DO TO BEHEMOTH? Behemoth has not moved at all since it flipped S3 out of the arena! Somethings not right! The other two robots are now nudging Behemoth a bit! Make that a lot! I THINK BEHEMOTH HAS BEEN IMMOBILIZED! THERE IS NO MOVEMENT IN BEHEMOTH...AND THE REFBOT AGREES! Hes counting Behemoth out! Well, that was disapointing. Behemoth looked so impressive just a few moments ago, taking out S3 single handed. But now, it has been given the Red Card and is OUT of the All Stars. Growler comes in and grabs Behemoth, before dragging it onto the Flame Pit. Ahh...lovely. Burned moth.
