    Awesome, I got all my predictions right.

    Pussycat (U.K) vs Manta (U.S.A)

    Pussycats exposed wheels, I think, will be the key to its downfall. Mantas armour could be damaged a little but not to the point of it being immobilzed. Pussycat out.

    And here it is...the last fight of the year. And to think, I started this in 2005. It just goes to show how uninspired Ive been.

    Its the final of the War Of Independance.

    FROM THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA: MANTA
    They got to this stage by ramming Diskotek, Basenji and The Revolutionist into submission.

    FROM THE UNITED KINGDOM: PUSSYCAT
    Made it here by cutting up the hopes of Razer, 259 and Spawn Again.

    ROBOTEERS, STAND BY!

    Booth 1: Pussycat
    Booth 2: Manta
    House Robots: Matilda, Growler.

    3...2...1...ACTIVATE!!

    And off we go. UK vs USA. The two robots are different in shape, but both have cutting blades. Pussycat straight away goes for a dodge, but Manta clips the cat side on! But...no, Pussycat just veers away as a result of that. Manta SLAMS into the arena wall, turns and has another go. But, again, no. Pussycat is deflected. I think the awkward shape of Pussycat is preventing Manta from pushing it successfully. If it could get to the back, itd have more luck. But, of course, this now allows Pussycat to come onto the attack!! Hang on. Was there damage? I dont think there was. Either the armour plating of Manta is too tough OR the body is too low for the blade to have good effect. Manta, again, tries to push Pussycat, again at the wrong angle...and I think we have a problem. Neither robot can actually effectively do anything to the other robot. I assume thats without charging head on at one another, as they try for their attacks again...but no. No damage caused again for either parties. I assume they dont actually want to attack front on at the risk of damaging themselves, but...boys, this is getting boring! If you want to impress us, youll need to do a head on attack sooner rather than later! Oh, but are they now lining up now for a head-on? Yes, they are, Manta charges...but Pussycat reverses! A dummy run. Come on, youve got to do something...OH!! HEAD ON COLLISION!! AND MANTA IS, AT LAST, PUSHING PUSSYCAT BACK AND THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT!! But, at the same time, the two blades have locked and only Pussycats appears to be active! Now THEY are causing damage to Manta! And at last, the War of Independance is getting somewhere! But still, Manta is driving Pussycat backwards...towards Matilda! Both robots enter the fringe of the CPZ that allows Matilda to attack BOTH machines! She gets her tusks in between the two robots. She raises them. Pussycat falls off them, Manta is briefly stuck...BUT PUSSYCAT GETS UNDERNEATH MANTA!! And the saw starts grinding at the underbelly of the Manta machine! Guys, need I remind you, youre still in the CPZ. Again, Matilda gives them a nudge. Now Pussycat and Manta are free again. However, instead of running back to the centre of the arena, Pussycat reverses straight into the corner of the CPZ itself! That could leave it in major trouble if Matilda decides to bring in her flywheel. Instead, shes tusked the cat again, perhaps trying to lever it out of the arena. And whilst Pussycat, instead of running back to the centre of the arena, has smashed into the corner, Manta, instead of running back to the centre of the arena...is sitting idle. Whats happened to Manta? Manta is not moving! Theres aggetation in the control pod! Pussycat is in its own problems...OH, AND MATILDA CAUGHT THEM WITH THE FLYWHEEL ON THE BACKSIDE...RIGHT ON THE BACKSIDE!! PUSSYCAT BOUNCES ALONG THE LENGTH OF THE WALL, lucky to stay inside, but with a MASSIVE gash! Now Matilda goes back for Manta. Is Manta moving? I really dont think it is! Did that attack by Pussycat do something to the wheels, the drive or something. Certainly, Matilda is lurking. Pussycat isnt moving, but I think it has just won the War of Independance. And yes, Refbot IS counting down and out Manta!

    And its over! The Manta ray of hope for the U.S has come to nothing and the U.K, once more, have won the War of Independance...this time with Pussycat. Even though it isnt in a great state. And now Matilda can finish Manta off. Flywheel first...AND MANTA GOES FLYING! Panels come flying off and Manta is upside down. Growler, meanwhile, has grabbed hold of the front of the wounded victor Pussycat. He slams the cat into the pit release. Matilda is already moving Manta towards the pit. Down goes Manta...and Growler drops Pussycat in anyway. Oh well.

    CEASE!!

    Manta got well and truly beached.
    PUSSYCAT IS THE WINNER OF THE WAR OF INDEPENDANCE!!!

    I would just like to take this oppotunity to say that the fight was completely unbiased. I really didnt see any possible way that either robot could effectively out-do the other without charging head on, and in the end had to look at their other aspects.

    Anyway, next time...

    Disc-O-Inferno vs Jackson Wallop vs Revenge Of Trouble And Strife vs Ripper vs Thermidor 2 vs X-Terminator.

    And also the Grand Final. The winner of this annihilator meets Kan Opener and Raging Knightmare.

    OK, here we go. The first round of Annihilator 3...after over an ENTIRE MONTH!!

    ROUND 1

    FROM CAMBRIDGE; DISCO INFERNO
    Wanna dance? In the robot wars arena, its the dance of death! Disc-O-Inferno quickly went from pathetic slob to killer machine very quickly, and so did peoples opinions of it. Hexagonal in shape, the front horizontal flywheel spins at about 1000 rpm, causing damage to just about anything it can. It could be almost unbeatable, but it has a high ground clearance and is vulnerable to fire.

    FROM SOUTHAMPTON; JACKSON WALLOP
    The team previously entered with a machine called Attila The Drum, which competed in an annihilator and came third. Jackson Wallop is a little unorthodox, but it gets the job done. The small body boosts in proportion the largest flywheel of any robot, and the largest the rules allow. Even if the teeth dont catch you, taking one look at the psychadelic design could easily make an oppodent feel queasy. The wheels are exposed though, and it has no srimech.

    FROM WORCHESTER; REVENGE OF TROUBLE AND STRIFE
    Hmm, doesnt revenge taste sweet? Revenge of Trouble and Strife has a long name, but the battle stratergy is nice and simple...KILL! The main weapon is a flipper, but the outer rim of the robot spins and has a couple of cutting teeth, which in essance makes the armour a weapon as well. Only problem, the robot is petrol driven, which can be a pain to have in any robot.

    FROM STAFFORDSHIRE; RIPPER
    You dont want to get on the wrong side of this machine. Ripper The Flipper, as it is also known, is one nasty piece of work. Cleverly designed, the robot may look big, but the machine itself is actually rather small, so puncture the armour, and you may well just be hitting thin air. Oh, and need I mention the powerful, and big, flipper on the front? I warn you, this robot takes on house robots and lives! It isnt exactly flipper proof though.

    FROM NORWICH; THERMIDOR 2
    This robot often feels crabby on occasions, but it is still a strong machine to contend with. The bright red robot has two wheels from a Mini Metro, claws designed for shunting and a powerful flipper with two gas bottles. It was the first ever robot to flip more than one robot out of the arena in the same match, and has only been equaled on a few occasions. A semi-finalist in two wars, watch out for it...and watch for that fragile shell. Hmm...

    FROM BELMONT IN HERIFORDSHIRE; X-TERMINATOR
    Will it Exterminate...Exterminate...the opposition here? Coming fourth in the 7th series of Robot Wars, it may well do. X-Terminator is a large robot with a formidable weapon, a very large front flywheel capable of tearing fellow robots apart in the blink of an eye. It is compact as well, and hard to damage. However, it is slow at 9mph, and although it has a srimech to get it off of its side, the back is unprotected, and any flipper to get it on there could win the match.

    ROBOTEERS, STAND BY...

    Booth 1: Disco Inferno, Jackson Wallop, X-Terminator
    Booth 2: Revenge of Trouble and Strife, Ripper, Thermidor 2
    House Robots: Shunt, Cassius Chrome

    3...2...1...ACTIVATE!!

    3 spinners against 3 flippers. And immediately, the flippers appear to be after the spinners. Revenge of Trouble and Strife makes a move to attack Disco Inferno, whos blade is already up to speed...OUCH!! The disc hits the outer rotating body of Revenge of Trouble and Strife and leaves a MASSIVE gash in it! Not only that, but I think that part has stalled! Ripper, meanwhile, is having a go at Jackson Wallop, whilst Thermidor is after X-Terminator. Thermidor tries to flip, but misses, and X-Terminator hits one of Thermidors claws...AND SLICES IT CLEAN IN TWO!! Ouch! Meanwhile, Ripper lifts Jackson Wallop off the ground, but the blade is still spinning, and that only deflects Jackson Wallop away from trouble. Now Disco Inferno is having a go at Ripper, so Ripper decides maybe it better go and attack...X-Terminator? Are they mad? Well, X-Terminator is chasing after Revenge of Trouble and Strife, closely pursuded by Thermidor 2...Ripper gets a lift up at the back, not flipping it over, but that has allowed Thermidor to get underneath...and it throws X-Terminator over...ONTO ITS BACK!! And that is TERRIBLE NEWS for X-Terminator. Ha ha, look at it! X-Terminator is trying to run on its blade, but its not a tactic thats going to work for it. Revenge of Trouble and Strife, meanwhile, is having a go at Jackson Wallop. The huge psychadelic design looks a bit giddy, but Revenge of Trouble and Strife manages to lift up Jackson Wallop. One of the teeth gets caught in the floor. Meanwhile, Ripper and Thermidor 2 are trying to team up against Disco Inferno, but as the blade hits Rippers armour, it literally ripples! Meanwhile, Refbot has a look at X-Terminator. It clearly isnt moving, and Refbot is counting it out.

    And thats it. X-Terminator is out.

    CEASE!!

    X-Terminator has been exterminated, AND Annihilated.

    Disco Inferno vs Jackson Wallop vs Revenge of Trouble and Strife vs Ripper vs Thermidor 2.

    BTW, has anyone noticed a connection between the robots that have been competing in my annihilators? Its more than just the obvious.
