Hi,
I built a Fp Ram And the full setup has been pressure tested to 390 bar could i run it on nitrogen if i brought the gas with me?? or has nitrogen been ruled out and not aloud to use it??

Nitrogen is allowed, up to 70 bar/1000psi, as any other inert gas.
If you wanted, you could run Helium.
nitrous oxide?
congrats james.
can you mail me about the wheels please....
Nitrous oxide is an oxidizer. At room temperature rather innocent- except for the funny side as sedative and painkilling- chemical.
But when introduced in a flame, Whoopy.
Also, it doesnt have any advantages over CO2 when used as a replacement....
i can think of 3 advantages over co2.
1, it sounds better
2, exhaust gasses can be made to ignite.
3, if it blows up in the pits, instead of banning you everyone laughs alot.
still wouldnt use it though
Well, I have a problem with flamable gasses in the pits.-2>(One Mario is bad enough as it is...) CO2 can still be used safely as a fire extinguisher. Hate to see what happens when there is a small fire in a robot, someone grabs the bottle for a quick dousing, and then finds out it doesnt contain CO2 after all.
Could it be done safely ?
Nitrogen is just as inert as CO2. Nitrous oxide is a different animal, it aids in combustion by releasing its oxygen to help the burning process.
These are 2 seperate gasses.
