come to think of it, microswitch controllers shouldnt really be called speedos - afterall they dont give speed control

Most roboteers i know use their speedos as solid state relays anyway.

it does give u speed control ewan

it gives u speed (on and off) and control over it (do you want it on or off) = speed controller

Speed control is to adjust the rate of motion. Since ON/OFF is deciding whether something is in motion or not, it might not neccessarily be a speed controller. Really an Academic question that, not to mention almost irrelevant.

Personally, I dont care, I have an IBC speedo and my Microswitch Control Interface right here.
