Thread: Very heavy duty power control

Cheers Mario. If your solenoid manages OK with the starter and is rated at 125amps, do you think the 120 Series SPNO Solenoid at http://robotcombat.com/store_solenoids.htmlhttp://robotcombat.com/store_solenoids.html would to the job? I need some tyres from there anyway so i may aswell get the solenoids too while im at it. I was going to go for the 200amp rated Presolite solenoid but apparently there having trouble with the supplier for them.

Hey Gary hows the HW coming? were looking for a rematch with you for the one we missed out on! hope it all works out for you and you get to compete. I think were good for coming over there so far so good. John Mladnick was going to let me bring KiloByte! But it turns out the US National is a week or two before the UK Champs. So it looks like were going to miss the national here this year
But I cant pass up a chance to meet all your local and European teams. I cant wait... It should be a total BLAST and a Great show!!!
    Good luck with your bots.

Hey matt, I have swapped the solenoid for a 48330 speed controller.

I am currently welding and bolting the disc support mechanism whilst trying to keep the weight as low as possible! I think I am going to have to go on a hole drilling spree on certain parts.

Either way I will have a moving robot, whether or not it has a working disc is another matter. But I would be well up for a battle
