Spin up and head for whoevers currently unable to retaliate, ie whoevers already beign attacked by someone else. Avoid being rammed or flipped, go for weak points to get quicker knockouts, or if Im not doign too well go for every hit I can make.

Incidentally Ive decided to go for Ultraverter, it only has lexan armour and Im not going to be wussign away from it just because its highly ranked, get round its sides cos I am faster. Im NOT EXCLUSIVLY GOING FOR IT, but Im not going to avoid it, besides I can self right. I like attempting to topple giants.

    ROUND 1
    MELEE 1
ALL HELL Vs DANTE Vs ULTRAVERTER (9) Vs WEDGA REVO V2

FROM CARTERTON, IN OXFORDSHIRE, ALL HELL!
    (represented by David Weston)
Prepare for All Hell to break loose! Essentially Storm Vortex on a bender, this reverse wedge gets its devilish reputation from the front vertical spinning disc. This little beauty can reach speeds of 3500rpm and generate nearly 80kJ of force! Thats almost on a par with dear old Matildas! Daves machine also features good speed and manoueverability on its two vulcalon wheels, but the 6mm steel shell and lack of a proper srimech could be taken advantage of quite easily.

    FROM GEDDINGTON, IN NORTHAMPTONSHIRE, DANTE!
    (represented by Alex Holt)
A newcomer to the wars, Dante hopes not to peak too soon. Sort of resembling Sump Thing sans all the pointy bits and srimech arms, the main weapon here is a nasty 1000rpm vertical disc. Not only can Alex dish out 24kg of pain with each blow, but he can even withstand most other spinners with the hardox tubing coating the framework. This combined with the large 9mm thick A.B.C. outer wheels make an extremely tough nut...but lack of any proper armour can leave a risk of electronics damage and speeds of 22mph could create some big control problems.

FROM PERTH, IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA, AND SEEDED NO.9, ULTRAVERTER!
    (represented by Tom Roper)
Think Red Square, but full of gas - the seed, I mean. Not Tom. A low box with tough skirting all the way round, Ultra is just as powerful a flipper as its dear old dad, Spin. Generating nearly as much force as Wheely Big Cheeses arm, this tossing device can throw a fellow competitor nearly 20 feet in the air on a good day! Add in the powerful 6WD and the Lexan armour of up to 25mm and you can see why everyone else is trembling away from it. However, we cant forget the problem of the CO2 running out and that more and more wedges these days are ready to burst those skirts.

    IN PTT2: did not compete
IN PTT3: threw aside many before falling to MDU in the Grand Final and ejecting The Business Ends in the Play-Off
IN PTT4: outflipped StratosFear to win its Heat, but ended up pitted by Squish at the start of the Semi-Finals

FROM BOURNE, IN LINCOLNSHIRE, WEDGA REVO V2!
    (represented by Andy Jackson)
Another Wedga? Jeezo, these things breed like rabbits. This time a reversed wedge with a scooped front n skirts, REVO V2s main weapon is (as ever) the rear-hinged flipping arm. The CO2 set-up means it can comfortabely flip 400kg with no problems at all and at around 35 flips per fight, youre definately gonna get your moneys worth of air-time. Also, the latest version now features a mix of titanium and hardox armour and the 18hp from those six wheels will provide many a headache. But there will be trouble if the flippah gas runs out and manoueverability could be better...

Everyone is off to a nice fast start today and none more so than Dante! With its flywheel already revving up quickly, the newcomer immediately gets stuck in and bites into UltraVerters side! Sparks fly as the disc strikes the Lexan shell, but it seems to have held up fine! As Tom whirls around and gives the spinner an unhappy shunt in revenge, All Hell arrives on the scene and smacks one of Dantes wheels! The force from the blow very nearly throws the newbie right over, but instead, Alexs machine topples the proper way up...just to get another slap from the flywheel! By now, Wedga REVO has now joined the party and as UltraVerter shoves Mr Holts rookie up to the top of the ring, Andy slips around to All Hells side and flips it over before it can get away! Landing flat on its back, Davey tries revving up the disc to get going again...but Mr J simply barges into and rams it straight for the arena wall before flicking it over onto the camera track!
All Hell proves to be all talk! I wouldnt want to be in your shoes when Beelzebub finds out about this, Dave.
Meanwhile, Dante is doing little better! Having just been slammed into the top arena disc by UltraVerter, the newcomer has now been gotten under again and thrown nearly 10ft in the air before crashing down back onto its wheels...right outside Shellraisers corner! Wasting no time, the House Robot rockets forward and tries to grapple onto the exposed framework of Alexs latest twisted creation! However, he barely touches it with the claw before Mr Holts entrant swings around and smacks the H.B. with its horrible disc! Now leaving Shellraiser a few spikes short, Dante twirls back round, only to find itself being pursued by the two flippers! Alex tries to flee and get some space, but proves just too late as UltraVerter slips back under the rear end of the unusual newbie, charges towards the side wall and tosses it around 11ft upwards, over and out of the competition!

    CEASE!!!!!

Dante? More like pante! Back to the inferno for you, young man!

DEATH ADDER 3 Vs HACKED-OFF HAKA (24) Vs INTENSITY Vs PUSSYCAT

    FROM ENGLAND, DEATH ADDER 3!
    (represented by Richard Southworth)
Dont expect a hiss-poor performance from this newbie. Death Adder is a sturdy invertible cylinder armed with a mighty double-headed pneumatic axe, similar to that on former champ Beta. What separates Richs robot from most, though, is the large titanium outer ring attached to the main body. This holds off crushers n fellow hammers and the scoop on the front of it can sweep them aside afterward. The bot also boats good traction with its camshafts, but the 4mm titanium could fall victim to our nastier machines and those shufflin pads dont make turning a lot of fun

FROM DADFORD, AND SEEDED NO.24, HACKED-OFF HAKA!
    (represented by Matty Fowler)
Hak for a third time, Mr Fowlers top bot is back and with a brand new look. Now an invertible double-wedge instead of a box wi scoop, the infamous uber-vicious nitrogen axe is also now bearing two heads instead of one for increased pain. Coated in 5 mil of Aluminium Boron Carbide, the new Haka is definately strong and the nice speed and manoueverability will serve it in good stead. However, the pushing power from those four wheels isnt exactly great and its pretty harmless once the hammer runs out of juice.
IN PTT1 (as 3 Haks Entered, 2 Haks Out): pitted against Tornado and Wild Thing in the very first PTT fight
    IN PTT2: did not compete

IN PTT4 (as Hak-ing Me Off): reached its Heat Final where it was pitted by Battle Raptor 3

    FROM KILKIVAN, IN AUSTRALIA, INTENSITY!
    (represented by Aaron Knight)
Ooooo, its Red Squares bigger brother! Closely modelled on the Battlebots Middleweight with its invertible pyramid shape and awesome spring-powered flipper atop, Intensity is hoping to mirror its recent AJWars success in this years PTT as well. And from the looks of its 5mm Hardox 500 shell and the tough skirts, that could very well be a reality. The newbie can also switch between high and low torque (giving 7mph and 33mph respectively!) and the eight inner wheels will give plenty of push whatever the setting. But the flipper does take its time to reset and the tops of the wheels are very exposed to axe attacks.

    FROM STOURBRIDGE, IN WORCESTERSHIRE, PUSSYCAT!
(represented by Stu Barnwell and Chris Cooper)
Now heres a cat that aint no pussy. With one of the best records in the whole of RW, Pussycat returns for its fifth PTT to make it one of the oldest contestants of them all. Still a four-wheel drive pyramid with that custom carbon-cutting 3000rpm saw, this former RW Finalist is famous for its roly-poly nature and its superb speed and turning ability. All this make it very hard to hit in a fight...but the wheels are very big and very exposed to all attacks and the big ground clearance very much makes it flipper bait.
IN PTT1: lost a tyre to Peligro in Round 3 and soon ended up battered to death
IN PTT2: reached Round 3 again...and this time, had an entire wheel removed thanks to 259!
IN PTT3: lost another wheel and its saw to Stratus 2 in the second Round
IN PTT4: was catapulted out the ring by StratosFear in Round 1

Another nippy start today and now, its Pussycats turn to take the spotlight! Saw blade a whirrin, the long-time PTT veteran careers across the ring and crashes into Death Adders outer cage! Enraged, the newbie twirls around and slides its scoop easily underneath the real robots high ground clearance before whacking it with the hefty hammer! However, the blow also manages to knock Richs grip on the twice Heat Finalist loose and allows the kitty to run free! Mr Southworth barely has time to follow it when Hacked-Off Haka arrives and gives the newbie a taste of its own medicine by grappling onto the cage with its own axe! There follows a few seconds of pushing and pulling (ahhh, just like the ol Tug o War... ) when a loud siren distracts both drivers! Wouldnt you know it, Intensity has snuck away and just opened up the Void! Just as it backs away, though, Pussycat thunders up to it and strikes the Hardox with its infamous saw! Unfortunately, the claws have made next to no impression on the newbie and in retaliation, Aaron slips under the PTT veteran and flicks it aside like a flea on its back! Landing on its side, Stuart quickly rocks the kitty upright again...just as Mr Knight returns and flips it over again! Meanwhile, the stalemate between Death Adder and Haka remains unresolved, but not for much longer! With Pussycat riding up its front skirt, Intensity charges to the middle of the ring and crashes into the locked axebots! Their minds taken off each other now, the two drivers focus their attention on the other robots now! While Haka and the cat begin trying to run rings around each other near the bottom end of the arena, Death Adder tries its hand (though snakes dont have hands ) at battering Intensity! However, when a glancing blow from the hammer barely dints its shell, the Aussie entrant swerves underneath the fellow newbie and tosses it onto its back with the greatest of ease! In a mild panic with its weapon rather useless, Richie darts aside from a fresh ram to get a strategy worked out! In the meantime, things are really hotting up between Haka and Pussycat! Though Matty has managed to get a few good glancing blows in on the fellow veteran with its axe, the more experienced PTT competitor has added several ugly scratches onto the ABC armour of its rival! This isnt stopping Mr Fowler, though, as the Heat Finalist of last year powers right underneath the real robot and grapples on with the axe before sweeping over to the Void and dumping the former RW Finalist in!
Pussycat shows the agility of Bagpuss and gets a neutering the PTT way!
Cutting back to Richies robot now, we can see that the English Adder is being chased in circles by Intensity! The Aussie machine doesnt want to leave it alone and now, the inverted shuffler finds itself riding up the Red Square lookalikes front before being shunted straight for the nearest arena wall! Mr Southworth desperately tries to get away when the spring-powered arm fires...and Death Adder finds its front end right way up and propped up on the fence! Camshafts suspended in the air and with the other two machines closing in, Rich tries to shake himself free by shuffling the feet pads madly and swinging the axe to and fro! It seems as though its working too...at least until Intensity darts forward and finishes the job by tipping it over the barrier properly this time!

    CEASE!!!!!

Death Adder 3 lacks enough venom and slithers home with its tail between its...erm...no, wait, that doesnt work at all!
