I love the weight strapped on the top of that lifter bot.![]()
Everyone began at that stage! James used to have a cable comming from his first version of Venom to power the claw. To activate the claw he had 2 drawing pins pushed into the transmiter attacted to the battery pack that was also selo-taped to the transmiter. To ctivate it he just had to push a paper clip over the pins untill it burnt his finger![]()
At least these guys do it. And with the means at their disposal its no mean feat either.
Funny though, seeing its a transmitter going up in smoke for once instead of the robot.

Babeth, it does happen, I have 2, no wait 3, transmitters that have gone up in smoke around here somewhere.
My DX6 went up in smoke not long ago too.
How did you manage that?
Because I swapped the charging terminals round so that I could use it with Futaba chargers. When i put it back together the port in the back wasnt in properly, and came loose inside frying most of the wires inside.
You muppet Grant!!
that said, I also managed to totally fubar a DX6 back in January.. I had just finished testing a machine, put the TX on the floor behind me to remove the link from the machine, stepped back and stood on it. I crushed both joysticks flush to the front panel, split the LCD display and snapped the main board from top to bottom!!
I think thats a worse mistake than mine![]()
I atleast manage to repair mine!
