Speaking as an ex hippy I am delighted that I can now go anywhere I choose and not come home with sore eyes and stinking like an ashtray!
As for us hippies (as of july 1st)deciding smoking is bad for you the lethal effects of smoking have been well known for over 40 years!

Anthony- ...some hippies...? Give me a break! Unless you mean by that scientists, doctors, various other health care experts... Watch a couple of close friends die of lung cancer as I have (and I hope you never have to) and then tell me about how silly bans and health warnings are.

On the less serious side - as an ex-smoker I am probably the worse type of anti-smoking supporter because I come with the added slogan If I can give it up so can you.
Apart from the unpleasant social side, several of my close friends smoke and I dearly wish they would give it up because I want to grow old disgracefully with them
