so far ive solved it the roboteers way, Ductape.

Ive ordere a new antenna, so i am ok. The antenna does work just as well as before so it is more a cosmetic thing than anything else.

What a waste of good peanut butter.
Now, if the bloke had covered himself up in ductape and then walked around the campus... that would have been something to see and talk to the grandkids about on long dark cold wintry nights...
