Yeah? Bring it!
Yeah? Bring it!
A skirt would have to be cooler to work in.
Last week it was 34 C with high humidity. My shirt and shorts and even my socks were drenched in sweat. The breeze that was blowing was tropical, warm and moist. A skirt would have allowed more air movement down stairs.
Men wear skirts in the Solomon Islands and Fiji. It suits our climate.
How is a kilt in your climate?
pretty good actually
even if its menus 0 it keeps u warm cause there is so much fabric (cant remember exactly but 20 something yards in a proper one).
Sometimes gets a bit itchy though
A good real kilt is a little warm at summer, but for the rest, in the Highlands where they originated, about the best you can have.
But the Utilikilt is made of cotton, so its a little cooler, therefore more appropriate over here. Warm enough in winter, build in airco at summer.
I cannot imagine those temperatures. Some times we get temperatures bellow +5 C over night for a week or two during the middle of winter. Normally by 9 am we can get down to T shirts and shorts most days during our winters.
ah, ive been known to wear shorts and sandals in late autumn before, thats mainly cos im too lazy to find a pair of sock tho
Mario, you look lovely but please ditch those socks
I always tend to wear shorts, infact i wore shorts on chrimbo day in the snow well there 3qtr length things but hey there kool.
The quest for suitable stockings is still ongoing.
Mario noticed that it can get quite chilly when you are not used to it, but he used to wear a kilt at life role playing and I do remember some LRP-games in mid-winter... with plenty of snow and frozen roads. (Which reminds me: what can you do with a knight in full plate armor when at the end of the road downhill stands a group of orcs ? Just give him a hearthy shove... strrrRRRIKE !)
If You want to keep warm there is nothing better than a fur coat. check profile
