Hello, Bonjour, Ciao, and welcome to the heat final of Heat I, which is odd, very odd, and odder than the number 1.

Heat I Final

Gravity 4.5 (5) vs. Ringwraith

In round 1, Gravity flipped out Aquarius, before moving onto flipping out Hector onto the camera tracks. Ringwraith qualified though the same melee, but managed to use it€™s weapon to hit Hacked-Off Ha-Ha over the fence and onto the camera itself.

The flipper against the vertical drum, a classic class of battle, but which way will the arm go, as we head over to the arena for the fight.

Richard is standing in control booth number 1, overlooking the red square, as Martyn is standing in the booth number 2, wearing sunglasses and a Scottish flag behind him, Gravity 4.5 is in the blue square.

And with the world€™s most longest and pointless introduction over:

Unlike the first two matches, Ringwraith comes forward and out of the square, as Gravity 4.5 comes accelerating out of the red square, as Ringwraith turns it€™s drum around to face the front of Gravity 4.5, as both robots go towards each other, Martyn flicks the controls to the right, and Richard does the same, as both robots avoid hitting each other.

Gravity 4.5 turns on the spot and attacks Ringwraith, and the first blood of the game, as Ringwraith is lifted up, but because of the crap angle and it€™s length, no massive flip from Martyn€™s realie today. Quick as a fast, Gravity 4.5 is underneath the front of Ringwraith and fires the flipper. Ringwraith goes up, so does Gravity 4.5, as it lands on it€™s back. Ringwraith lands with a bump, bouncing twice, as Gravity 4.5 self-rights from it€™s back, just in time, as Ringwraith attacks the side, flipping Gravity 4.5 though 360 degree, as Martyn puts on the power and leads Gravity to safety, by pressing the pit release.

Ladies and Gentlemen please, my internet connection once more has messed up, but let€™s not let that be a problem, as we return to the action, to see that Ref has moved away from the square to release Gravity 4.5, which has been hit against the wall, where it can€™t get out of. Ringwraith is holding back to be a sportsperson (we got to be PC here), as Ref removes Gravity 4.5 away, and drops it down. Martyn turns and escapes away, hiding behind Ref, as he moves back to his square. Ringwraith is on the other side of the Ref, as Gravity 4.5 breaks free first and launches into Ringwraith€™s front.

The impact sends both robots away, Gravity 4.5 doing a little hop, but Ringwraith is on a roll, as the wheels are spinning trying to get traction on the arena surface. The spike fires, as Ringwraith turns and regains traction, but not before Gravity 4.5 comes onto the attack and lobs Ringwraith over, side-ways, just because he can, in a nova. Richard drives Ringwraith away from trouble, as Gravity 4.5 misses the target and almost takes an early bath, as Martyn turns on the spot as quick in a flash, and rams into the rear end of Ringwraith. The blade hits the flipping blade of Gravity 4.5 and sends itself away, leaving a mess of the arena floor, as the blade has a lovely cut in it now.

It€™s a game of cat and mouse, as Ringwraith and Gravity 4.5 share one thing in common, and that€™s their speed, as Richard spins on the spot in more than one way having just found out that he has managed to get 100% on a module, as Gravity 4.5 rams straight into Ringwraith, and fires the flipper before the blades hit. Ringwraith is sent, in a spin back towards the starting wall, as Martyn is sending him the wrong way, as Richard€™s machine lands on it€™s 2 wheels, something goes bang inside, as the drum is making an awful grinding noise as it spins up to speed. The windows scatter with the noise, as Gravity 4.5 moves into play. Ringwraith€™s noise is getting worse and worse, as it€™s started to make people run from the building, to get a hot dog from the randomly placed hot dog vehicle outside the building

Meanwhile in the fighting, the judges have ear muffs on, as Ringwraith gets Gravity 4.5 onto it€™s back, as Richard rams into it once more, rolling it over. Gravity 4.5 self-rights from the position it lands in, and rams into Ringwraith, and both robots are sent away, Ringwraith getting the better attack, as the front flipper plate of Gravity 4.5 is sent away from Gravity 4.5 and up into the sky, with Lucy and the diamonds. Ringwraith lands from the attack, the noise has disappeared, as a strong smell of burning rubber is coming from Ringwraith, are the bearings off the drum burning under the pressure?

Even though smoke is now coming from Ringwraith, Richard is on the attack once more, as Martyn reverses into Ringwraith getting underneath, and being forced into the ground before firing it€™s flipper, sending Ringwraith into the wall. We have flames, as Ringwraith has started to go on fire, but still Richard isn€™t giving up, as he uses his smoke advantage to ram into Gravity 4.5, once, twice, as Ref is behind, sticking carbon dioxide onto the flames, as Gravity 4.5 self-rights and disappears from view.

Cease

Ref finally puts out the flames on Ringwraith, which looks like it€™s been to Hell and Back in a handcart, but Gravity 4.5 is down the pit, as it self-righted down the pit by mistake. Gravity 4.5 pulled under by Gravity, as Ringwraith moves forward into the semi-finals, needing some nice new bearings, which got knocked loose, letting metal rub against metal, causing enough heat to start to burn the rubber, where it went out of control.
