Thread: Scooter motors

    Alot of the Australian bot builders use scooter motors you can find some pics on http://www.robowars.orgwww.robowars.org .I was wondering are there scooter motors in the UK that i can buy and are similar to the OZ type?

    Our UK equivelent of the scooter motor has to be the more powerful gold motor.

  6. ive looked at scooter motors before but cant find any that are either powerfull enough or light enough. Those motors on that website on the scooter are also known as EVs, but again are fairly heavy. It isnt that hard to make a drive system, Alphas is really simple, u just need access to a lathe or know somebody who has.

  9. The postage would be about 50 pounds for a 10kg package and that excludes UK tax and customs charges etc which could get that up to 100 pounds... nasty...

    100W DC Motor 8.85 pounds 1kg
    200W DC Motor 12 pounds 2kg
    300W DC Motor 14.50 pounds 2kg
    All motors are 24v and can com with adittional drive assembly(chain and sproket or pulley).
