Thread: Futaba Rx standards

  1. #1
I am looking at making some interfaces for some Futaba Rxs and I wondered if anyone had any graphs or tables showing the siganal standards of Futaba Rx units. I believe they use pulse width modulation for the siganal servo lead but I wondered what the highs and lows and itermediate points were of this modulation.

Not being an antweight builder, Ive not actually taken apart an Rx so I also have the question of does the Rx incorporate a regulator to regulate the input voltage to the Rx? What is the standard voltage of the + and - servo wires, and am I correct in thinking its 4.8v? (I could test this very easily, please excuse my lazyness )

    Best Regards, Ewan

    Hi Ewan,

Id like to explain this more but Im busy at the mo but this page will do most of the expalining: http://homepages.which.net/~paul.hills/Circuits/RxDecoder/RxDecoder.html

As far as I know the + and - lines to a servo are connected straight to the battery. The supply is nominally 5v, but you can get away with up to 9v with some recievers I think.
