No further comment here on Mr Thorpe
The tickets are quite expensive. £50 for a family of four! I wonder how well they will sell at that price.
I see Tanto is twice in the list. I think it must have been mistaken with my robot TAN. Team Kodox. I have send an email about it. Please put me up for hotel B
Thanks.
Dear Roboteers,
Due to poor ticket sales - the Debenham 2005 Robot Rumble event on the 26th/27th March, has had to be cancelled.
Roaming Robots was being hired by the Robot Rumble company to provide back stage staff (Arena doors and pits) to run the event at the weekend.
The rest of the event organisation is done by Robot Rumble, and sadly the cancellation of the event is out of Roaming Robots Hands.
Its a shame to see the ever popular Debenham Robot Rumble Event be called off.
We need to stick together and look towards the future.
See you at an event soon....
Kind Regards,
Roaming Robots Crew

hope the dutch lads can get there monies back from the booked ferries
sorry lads
Thanks John.
Whe are getting used to it, 3rd time now. Our ferry was booked this morning. Whe better try to get some sleep and talk about whats possible tomorrow.
There is an obvious pattern here. This is the 3rd event that gets cancelled within 24 hours after I reserve a place on the ferry and within 4 days of the event actually taking place.
Ill take full responsibility and never make boat reservations again![]()
On a serious note, we havent used our robot in over 6 months and we where really looking forward to this event. Im very disappointed, we all are.
This has done some real damage, not just financially. My trust has been damaged. Im not pointing fingers or placing blame, the cancellations have been independent of each other, but are no longer just a case bad luck. Im at a point where I dont know if its worth my time and energy to get all worked up and ready for an event in the UK. I may feel better after a good nights sleep.
Oops, looks like my comment on the 18th March was rather close to the truth. However I think that most teams prefer a 100% guarantee that an event is going ahead and if needed cut back on extra costs like accomodation etc. The demand from the public is nothing like as big as it was so if anything ticket prices should come down not up.
Roaming Robots own gigs seem to be consistantly well attended by the public, and dont tend to get cancelled. If I was a main-land European builder Id try for those in preference, or maybe one of Blacktops airshow gigs where youve got a captive audience. Yeah, I saw your earlier post Rob, and thought the same- too costly. Ive been half expecting this to happen- my wife was pretty horrified at the prices but I was going to try and book a couple of tickets today after a bit of an internal struggle. So it goes... Seems even more of a shame the Storm team were upset over a gig that isnt even happening.
