The team thought itd take away Mechys cool looks. Typical Americans
Oh, Ive just remembered ANOTHER judges Decition I thought was so horribly wrong.
Fluffy vs Das Gepack
Ya know, the UK vs Germany special.
Now, I may be British, but for me, the Germans were robbed. Das Gepack was dominating for over 3/4s of that fight, and Fluffy only managed to break a spike off, AND lost its weapon early on. DG was, from there on in, ramming Fluffy all over the place.
I think the only reason the judges made it a draw was because they KNEW Das Gepack was the winner and couldnt stand the Germans beating the British for a second time. Third time if you count WC2.
What do you think?
BTW, I am referring to EX1, Hypno-disc vs Nasty Warrior, where Hypno was dominating til Nasty Warrior broke its wheels. I say WC2 cos Ansgar lasted longer than Chaos 2, even though both lost, and it was really GFs fault.
Nah fluffy showed as much aggression.
When?
FLUFFY
Tore Das Gepacks spike off
DAS GEPACK
Was ramming Fluffy all over the place, broke its weapon.
WINNER
Surely Das Gepack. And most people, British or German, actually agree that DG should have won.
whispers a little secret:
Das Gepack is Dutch. It is Alien destructor 1 with a different paintjob that entered the german wars to add up the numbers.
keep it quiet though.
Err...I already know. But its better as German.
Also, someone asked whether Corkscrew has EVER spun up in their years, not counting RW6 (or Ex2, which doesnt count).
The answer is: Yes, it was spinning perfectaly fine in its first battle in Series 5 against 13 Black. At that, its spinning body actually caused one of the 13 Black discs to grind to a halt, what won it the match.
One more Judges Decision...
DOMINATOR 2 vs HYPNO-DISC
No, the judges decision was fine, Hypno-disc was the better robot...the bit that was wrong was the fight GOING to the judges in the first place!
I mean, we can clearly see, even under the wheel guards, that Dominator 2 is moving on one wheel only. Usually, that means the robot is out.
In Series 4 annihilator 1, Stinger lost drive to one of its wheels and was counted as out...even though it was harder to tell.
In Extreme 1, Chaos 2 lost drive to one side against Tornado, and Refbot counted it out.
In Series 6, Bulldog Breed lost drive to one side after Hypno-disc beat it up (again), and he was counted out too.
In Extreme 2 (Boo! Hiss!) one of the New Blood competitors lost drive VERY early on, and was, AGAIN, counted out.
And Im almost POSITIVE that this scenario happened in Series 7 once or twice.
But with Dominator, the rule doesnt seem to aply, which is NOT fair. Theyve had this problem TWICE and theyve lasted a judges decision (but lost afterwards).
Strange.
BTW, Ive got new views on one of the fights.
GRIM REAPER vs BIG NIPPER
Correct...cos BN shouldnt have won its first round battle! Grim Reaper certainly won and Barbaric Response certainly lost, but Kan Opener should have gone through, not Big Nipper. BN was taking a LOT of attacks from GR and KO got no damage from anyone except Growler whatsoever (OK, so I didnt know its claws had jammed...but neither did ANY of us).
The judges just kicked KO out because it has lost in round 1 twice before and nobody would care.
They also treated Terrorhurtz and Typhoon very differently. Typhoon gets the big red letters when he drops out, but Terrorhurtz gets PUBLIC EMBARRASMENT! NO FAIR!
sos just replying to something furthur up the topic you say that the arena isnt surposed to trap opponents can i just point out the raisd spikes they had in series i or 2 were these not used for the purpose of traping robots?
