Yes, thats fully possible. But youll need a mixer.

Ive made a plan of my chassis just on a piece of paper. I think I will be using 2 CIM2 motors with tt axles which are from Big cheese site. Does anyone know about these and can anyone give me advice on my plan. (its only rough. I decided to make it 3 wheels becuase its easier and becasue its for off terain all 3 wheels will be in contact with the ground at all times unlike if it was 4 wheel drive. Thanks. http://server5.uploadit.org/files/digitali-222.JPGhttp://server5.uploadit.org/files/digitali-222.JPG http://server5.uploadit.org/files/digitali-111.JPGhttp://server5.uploadit.org/files/digitali-111.JPG
I think youre on the right track, I have one question though - does the wheel at the front steer?
The majority of combat robots turn by differential drive, in other words driving the wheels at different speeds, or opposite directions to turn on the spot. Your front wheel would have to turn round though 90 degrees when turning on the spot otherwise it will just be dragging on the ground. Would it be better to replace this with a castor?
Hi, Im planning to make it into a caster so it will have all the degrees of movement that a caster would have. Is this a good idea? Thanks.
Yes, that will work. The castor wheel doesnt need to have good grip though, so you might be better off with a smaller, thinner wheel at the front.
HI, the robot is designed to be off road so it would be very unstable if it had a small wheel at the front wouldnt it? And also Im planning now to use 2 24v CIM2 motors which I Will buy off the Big Cheese site. Does anyone know if these are any good ? Thanks
Roger Plants CIM motors are very good. More than capable of pulling a robot along.
CIM2s are a direct replacement for the Littons Roger used to sell. They were good, the CIM2s are even better, more reliable.
The CIM4s are a little more expensive, but are also great value for money.
Hi, Would you say they are better than the Bosch 750 watt motors ?
It depends on who you ask, but theyre much better made.
