Hi Guys,

This event is causing a major head ache for all at the moment€¦ and believe me it was out of my control to change it at this late stage up north. If it was up to me it would have just been cancelled.

The show times are as per the last few events, which is the last in the summer run, before we revamp again, being a Saturday evening show 7:30, and then 2 shows on the Sunday 12pm and 4pm.

Understandably this is a going to be a long trip for everyone involved, hence we are paying the higher appearance fee to try and entice roboteers to travel.

And a few have said they still need more testing before the world champs, and a few do not want to risk damaging there robots, and so we will be altering the show with more demonstrations, if need be.

Hopefully ill get round to putting some pyrotechnics in a robot for the panels to blow off as its destroyed and things like that !!!!

Tickets are selling but not doing so well, and so we have had to do a last minute scrambled extra advertising campaign this week.
Bristol didn€™t start off so good, but then there was a big rush at the end and turned out to be busy !!€¦ hopefully the same will happen, either way they have said they are prepared to run at a loss if need be, and make it up later in the year. !!

I don€™t have a post code, but I will ring the venue and get one tomorrow for you, or keep an eye on our new web site for the latest details.

I need to know who is interested in coming along€¦. So I can see if I have enough robots to make a show ASAP !!

Has anyone found a hotel near the venue yet, all the ones I can find that have rooms are about 30 miles away.

If possible for city events we could do with the postcode for the venue a few weeks before the event, trying to find somewhere a week before is not a good idea :sad:

this has been a nightmare from the start. I havent booked us in any hotel yet.

Well, the fans wont have much trouble showing up (given that the venue is easy to reach) but it looks like getting enough teams will be a task. Id be happy to hire a robot (as advertised on the webpage) if youre really short on numbers, but well see what happens in the next few days. (I live in Hartlepool which is a bit further down the coast, but I can make it in for those times)

we want to come, but the problem is accomodation, we cant find anywhere near thats available (or cheap!).
