Ewan, looks well made and looking forward to seeing it in action. How much did that object weigh, it seemed to travel quite far? Hope it wasnt 12kg
Ewan - First weapon test went very well, managed to send the 6kg Mini-Maul shell into the air.

Yup. Im cutting some more catchy/pointy teeth tonight though. The ones in the vid are just blocks really. Ive put a pic of the shell after testing on my profile. The notches going strait upwards are from the vertigo disc. The contact did split the top of the sheel though, you can see the big crack on the left.
Ewan how thick was the steels shell , also great job on the robot
Its only 0.5mm, hence the tear
so the agressive teeth will hopefully make a huge difference! What motor are you thinking of changing the gold to? and will you be putting the hardox disc on? looking good
Heres a highlights video of Vertigo from Magna -

Ive also done some updates here - http://www.micro-maul.co.uk/vertigo.htmlhttp://www.micro-maul.co.uk/vertigo.html
You should put your IBC inside a box Ewan, it protects it from any small bits floating around in your robot that could short parts out on the board. Some of them have been killed over here like that.
I have made my IBC a nifty little 6mm polycarb box ..not taking any chances!
