Just re-plumbed Turbulences Pneumatics and its scarey for a LP bot. should be over 200% better then it was at robotslive. Hope to get some more people oota at worcester![]()
Just done a test of Turbulences new setup, Managed to through an old heavyweight chassis (40kg, similar in shape to Tornado) relatively high. Picture on profile.
Any flipper that can get a robot OOTA is good, why do you have to keep improving it. All it does is give other robots less Arena time![]()
sorry BNip
but i have been going backwards
but getting there (1 day )
Hannibal has been rebuilt after its last encounter with Kan-opener. We took the opportunity to lower the frame a bit and replace its flipperarm.

Latest pic of swarm on profile now.
Just in the process of machining the wheel box units. Disc is soon to be laser cut (20mm thick, 70cm dia, 1500rpm). The weight of it is sitting at 130lb.
Aiming to have it complete for the UK champs in August. I am also hoping to create a number of different weapons for the rear so that I can enter it in other events.
Couple of questions:
1. Just the two wheels?
2. (If above) four motors for the two wheels?
3. Will horizontal spinner stick out from Etek side?
4. Still on for a vert too?

1) Yup 2 wheels
2) yup 2 motors per wheel
3) There will be an A-Frame at the rear similar to hornet
4) Not this time around but once the disc is machined, dont see why not!
I wanted to directly scale up hornet into a heavyweight. I decided on 2 wheels so that the robot can pivot when it hits an opponent etc, hopefully reducing the shock to the internals. The chassis is not designed as a rammer, just a delivery system for the weapon.
Looks great actually to me.
Anyone fancy helping with my heavy project when I get it going? Once Rhys finds me the bits Im after.
