What sorta speed are you looking at for the actuator to reach full travel? And is the weapon a kind of double lifter? (just wondering when I see the motor attached to the lifting arm)

    Looking cool as well

*EDIT* Just seen the description you gave further up the page about the weapon being a clamper/lifter - never mind then

Yup, and about four seconds for more like 350mm lift rather than the 200mm previously stated

Why Not Mount The Actuator To Other Way?? Would Be Able To Self Right And Have Alot Faster Arm

  6. #526
    1. Not enough space in design (designed due to 2.)
    2. Actuator is a very decent speed with ~40kg push force, havent really timed it properly so 4s full travel is an off-the-top-of-the-head estimate - Basically I think its fast enough and I dont want to be pressuring it too much when I want to lift a whole feather (or two!). Having some support at the front of the arm is a help too.

By The Looks Of The Shape And Stroke On Arm It Doesnt Look Like Its Going To SelfRight

Should be ok once he has the grabbing arm on. Ewan is it going to work abit like Complete control? Good work mate, nice to see somthing differant.

  9. #529
Oh yeah Andy, it should selfright with the combined action of the grabber and arm, the arm hasnt enough travel by itself. Yeah, complete control Dave, if it works it should be fun
