Also off topic but gonna say it - was looking at peoples profiles - Kenny your heavy weight is looking cool dude! And Aaron, that picture of your nicads like that scares me. LOL. Just waiting for someone to touch the wires together

Lol, that was a long time ago, I dont build shrink wrap packs any more, dont like how weak they are, check out my profile now with one of my intercooled poly packs. I can now throw my battery packs at the brick walls on my house with no problems

New carrot feather is a 4 motor drive too... just welded the gearbox cages onto the chassis.. see profile..

yep
planetary gear cages welded, drive shaft bushed through 50x25 2mm ERW chassis, no more of that floppy motor mounting business with jubilee clips..

Name: King cobra

Drive: 2x 18v dewalts with the complete team delta setup at 24v, 2x 3 x 1.5 colsons and home made bearing blocks
Weapon: as if it needs one

Armour: 12mm MDF held together with 3mm ali L bracket and m6 bolts. the crusher is all 4.5mm stainless.
Status: just needs final wiring and drives mounted.

Drive: 18v drills at 24v, 95mm custom polyurethane wheels. these gearboxes are hand modified by a good friend to have bigger pins and theres 6 on the output and supported on both sides, BULLET PROOF.
Weapon: 260mm saw blade. 850g in weight driven staight off a giant fan motor that has a spinning plate. ~ 4000rpm
Batteries: 24v 3000mah nimh pack
Speed controller: IBC
armour: 10mm 5083 ali everywhere 12mm wall thickness pipes on the sides
notes: came second at our last event, woohoo
