Yes you are right I had got the actuator in the wrong hole when I filmed it
Well in that case I will laeve it were it is it works better this way
I thought actuators were made with a compressive force in mind ....rather than tension.
The statement ....same power in either direction ! .....doesnt help much..... are you saying that this actuator is designed for both compressive and tensile forces?
If that is so ...then it doesnt matter

Looking lethal Tony - seeing the CADs and the vid has re-ignited my urge to get building with my feather crusher. (prototype pic on profile) Wont quite be matching the power of yours, the actuators only rated at 4000N but hopefully itll be enough to cause some people problems. Came up with the concept design etc back in October 2005, but itll be spring 2008 before its completed - it better be worth the wait!

Yeah sorry, I got your reply but havent got round to getting a disc sent yet - has slipped my mind the past couple of days due to exam study but Ive got a break between my next exam (tomorrow) and my last one (24th) so Ill hopefully get it posted on Wednesday
