Transmitter help!

I’ve got the FlySky fs-i6x transmitter, and the recieve it comes with.

channels 1 and 2 are the right and left hand motors, yet they seem to behave haphazardly,

sometimes they work, I move the right gimbal forward, and both wheels rotate forwards. sometimes I’ll move the right gimbal forward and only the left wheel will go forwards, and the right remains stationary, if I release the gimbal and try again, they both move correctly, it seems like it doesn’t always take instructions first time around.

im sure there’s something I’m miss understanding, or it might be the cheapest esc I’m using, (these https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B074VY2S...ing=UTF8&psc=1)

ive put a resistor between the two contacts on each motor too.


one other thing driving my crazy, is that the right gimbal whilst moving forward, for some reason it effects channel three (which is connected to a servo for a lifter) meaning when I drive forward, the lifter begins to lift

Are you able to post a picture of the wiring of this at all? I wouldn't have expected this sort of behaviour to happen given the ESCs linked are single channel types. Is channel mixing enabled on the flysky?

I use the same Transmitter/ receiver as yourself and in fact I have three because I find them faultless and easy to
operate.
On the other hand my ESC is a cytron 60 amp and cost 10 times the price of the one you show but on the plus side these
also have been no bother and can be used in heavies.

Some might say re bind the receiver but in my experience they tend to work or not work- though I know Theo had
major problems with his boring wedge and re binding did sometimes fix the problems.

I suspect it's the ESC and you might get a recommendation for what to use from the forum-maybe pay a little more
-those Lemon rx jobies I use in the beetle seem reliable.

I don’t have a picture, but I’ll try to get one. At times it works perfectly, also the red led on each of the ESC’s lights up when I move the gambal, like it should, or just doesn’t seem to always activate the motor, the red light responds perfectly

It could simply be a poor quality ESC as Colin mentions. I have this problem with a few of my Ants where it randomly moves of its own accord without any transmitter input. Sounds like chittering when it does. Lets try to rule out anything wiring or mixing related first.

A few years back I tried, but I found I had the same problems with the drive, I assumed it was the way I had cobbled it together, I wasn’t half as informed as I am now (and I still know next to nothing!) So I gave up last time. But I’m going to stick with it this time!

Also to mention, they’re 12v motors, being run from a 2s lipo, could that contribute to any problems?

I have had a look at the picture and I would take that servo out of the equation-it looks like a cheap
Chinese job and I have had tons of problems with them-use Futaba
