Sorry if this is getting a little off topic. Although I have not done it, it is in theory possible to reprogram a brushless ESC to use it with a brushed motor.

All input is welcome Paul. Like Ocracoke said this is how the bot bits ESCs start life its just seems beyond me at this stage I need to do lots more research !
