So an update - I went to the cafe today to see what was going on and apparently they didn't receive my inquiry so I made the booking there and then. However, perhaps a little unsurprisingly, they needed a bit of clarification as to what I meant by "robotics meet" and there was a serious question about damaging the floor, which I wasn't expecting.

They said they'll phone me on Monday to give me their verdict.
