Ah, sorry, I was sure I had checked that it was just a driver.
I do actually have one hammer drill motor working fine from an old black and decker drill I had floating around, but it's really long and I doubt I'll find a matching one for the other side anyway. I pulled the ball bearings out the same as normal, but have to leave the torque adjuster on all the time. I just pull a plastic spacer out and screw it tight to stop it spinning when in use.
