Thread: Ranglebox and HDPE for Featherweight construction

I'm a newbie too. I keep hearing concerning things about HDPE in relation to impact damage from spinners and huge axes.

Apparently there are only two events which allow featherweight spinners so they aren't as big a problem for feathers. I am using HDPE for some less exposed parts and internal bracing, then Polypropylene for the top and bottom which are more likely to get axed.

The Saturns from Ranglebox are powerfull and almost bombproof drive units. But will demand creative design and build to cope with the weight.

For "just enough" the Neptunes are a better option.

HDPE/nutstrips. It works, and is rather easy to implement.

PP is harder and more brittle than HDPE.
