Thread: Banebots wheels on Saturn-16 output shaft?

By using the half inch bore hex hub and some 0.25" shim material wrapped around the shaft. Worked a treat on boner for a similar problem.

That will be difficult - the wheels have a 1/2" hex bore and the motors have a 12mm shaft; you will probably need a custom hub and to enlarge the bore in the wheel, which is more trouble than it's worth. Don't bother though; the orange wheels are garbage and will wear out after a couple of matches.

To be honest, I don't know of any off the shelf hubs with a 12mm bore and a 3mm keyway - perhaps some enterprising lad can capture the local market .

I just fit a 17mm hex on the shaft and use that for RC wheels with an hex 17 uptake.

But I made hubs to fit on the Saturns. Pity it isn't a 4mm keyway, as that is industrial standard.

Whoops! Didn't realise it was the smaller wheel size.

The smaller T40 wheels only have hub bores up to 6mm - the larger T81 wheels would be a better choice if you still want to go that way. It might be possible to buy T81 hubs with a 3/8" bore and drill them out to 12mm and then broach a new keyway.
