Kart tracks don't normally give out the rims- but they are more than happy to give away worn tires, used ones are obviously lighter than new anyhow

^True, and I learned a fun-fact while talking to our local kart-centre:

Usually the tires are sold for 1 euro a piece to Pitbull owners who use them as a toy.
