Looking for a Heavy Weight Robot

We are a newly formed team and looking to get into this for this first time, ideally we would like a unit to work on practive and develope, reading a previous post I noted that there are not many Heavy Weight Robots in the market but if anyone does have an unused old one then i would like to buy at a resonable price of course...

I am happy to come to an arrangement with the owner if required and could potentially look to adding a new member to the team...

Ease up there just a second. I'm assuming that you watched the reboot last night and want to take part? That's great but I would STRONGLY advise not jumping straight in and buying a second hand heavyweight with out any understanding of the machines or how they work.

No that it not the case, we have been working on ideas for 2 years now and have come up with some plans on what we want to do, ideally i want to purchase a base unit to test and tryout what we have designed and then take it from there. 2 members of engineers in there own right and have plenty of experience, maybe not in fighting robots but robotics generally...

We did exactly the same, but wished we started with the feather weights, the cost and time has been unbearable.

Every live event has featherweight fights, plus the ease of build and availability of parts means you can easily start by building your own featherweight from scratch rather than buying second hand.

Similarly featherweights go into 2 guarenteed big rumbles every show, and it doesnt matter if you pull out. With heavyweights theres often a que to sign up, and by pulling out you wont be able to get back in again.

Plus featherweights get their own events which heavies dont attend.
