Right on the money.

HDPE is light, can be worked with woodtools yet cannot be glued, painted or efficiently welded. (welding is possible but the welds are fragile). Discs will easily cut deep gauges in it, but with the lower weight you can add more thickness, reducing the chances of getting punched through. Machines will look more chucky and less sleek because of this though.
