What i've done before is take the faceplate off one of the gearboxes and used that to make a template for the mounting pattern, it's just about the easiest method seeing as you'll already have the gearboxes to hand.

Also John, Shockbots is now 3d printing wheels specifically to fit the 25mm motors. IIRC they're about £2 each.
