    Hi,

I had a quick look on google etc, not sure I can find the right answer:

But is it ok/possible to over volt an electromagnet.

I have a project on the go (nothing to do with robotic combat) and i have an electro magnet which says at 12v has 25kg of force.

    So if i used a Turnigy 5000mAh 5S 20C Lipo Pack on it (Configuration: 5S1P / 18.5v / 5Cell) - how much force would it have then.

    Many thanks in advance all.

Should be fine, probably just get a bit warm; it's just a coil of wire after all.. And it should be fairly linear if I remember my A Level physics correctly, so you'd probably be looking at about 35kg..
