Then please demonstrate that fact. You were told starting with a spinner is a bad idea, you were told AC angle grinders will not work in a combat robot.

My semi average spinner got through 4mm hardox steel at less than 50% throttle, stainless steel would be like tissue paper. In fact, I can't link the video but search 'HardWired 2 vs Shard vs Shiny vs Satanix vs Cannon Fodder' on YouTube, my top panel was stainless on HW2 and Shard totalled it in a single hit...

And yeah you need battery powered things, mains voltage is too far off to use. If you buy two mains angle grinders for it, they flat out will not work...

I will double the thinness of the steel

And yeah battery powered tools. Just trying to thinks of a powerfull motors to drive the wheels anyone got any ideas

Please read all the various featherweight build diaries. They will give you clues on components and materials. 'Starter' threads from other people generally have a huge amount of information.

And doubling the thickness of the steel will not help, go read the various threads. Watch videos such as the ones found in the featherweight world champs threads and gather a clearer idea of a robot and how to build one.

Still will be pushing it, hardox steel is pretty much seen as the 'holy grail' of steel armour, stainless from my understanding is still a way off its strength

I would personally just go down to an event and see how these machines work in person, it will aid the design process massively...

Yes I will be going to one in Glostershire

I need a powerfull motor to slam other robot into the arena or other robots. Does anyone no. Ill be making the shell soon as I get my welder back

Wait until you have all the components before building your chassis. And as I said look at build diaries and other threads for information. Find robots that do similar things to what you want and look at how they were built.

Ok that what I will do.
Trying to get hold of a dc motor of a lawnmower

Yeah, listen to the other people in the thread.

And, if you want an anecdote, my first battle-ready machine (HardWired 2) was actually built by Maddox based on some of my rough specifications about dimensions. It was great, but after going to my first event, the 2014 champs, I learned so much about the machines in general that I managed to design Overdrive almost entirely solo and it would have been solid too if it weren't built in 48 hours. That first event makes ALL the difference.
