Crusher clutch problems

I'm using the massive duff norton actuators for my crusher and they have a built in clutch to save the motor but it's kicking in too soon. Obviously I am wanting to drive the claw through stuff and not just grip but I am struggling to find a solution, anyone got any ideas? I can't see any way of externally adjusting it and they are very difficult to get into
