Thread: Spektrum Transmitters

Kronic is running a DX5e with an Orange RX, thats in one of the top heavyweights in the country!

Will probably get an upgrade soon though.

It all depends on what you need your TX to do in terms of functions etc. I would go for a DX6i, they're really cheap at the moment as they've been replaced with the new DX6. Every function you're going to need for a robot.

The combo of a Dx6i and an Orange R620 works perfectly fine for any weight class, and as for failsafing, a lot of folks don't know how to make them failsafe (not just beginners, I've had to show people who've done it for years), but there is a reliable method.

The OrangeRx receiver has proven itself on many rc disciplines with very few errors. I would not hesitate to recommend one in a heavyweight or any other robot.
