Could you not use omniwheels like HypnoDisc and Razer used to (I think, anyway) because that'd keep your centre of turning around the front. I'm fairly sure they're a lot more expensive, and more brittle than your typical wheel but I guess it's an option if you can't shift your weight any more further forward...
