This is a pretty successful US insect class melty brain. The construction is aluminium. If designed correctly the billet aluminium chassis may be the lightest and strongest, as the very high aluminium grades are stronger than steel in some ways. Also easy to secure (and balance) all parts inside as the pockets for the components are simply machined in, allowing a bit of space for some foam.
