Hello, Fighting Robots Association. Yeah, it's been a long time.
I am planning to start Crash & Burn 6. Yes, you heard that right. However, it's going to be a smaller affair, likely smaller than the first C&BT, which had 64 entries. The reason for the tournament series being smaller is not because of the lack of activity, but because I... kind of? have a life outside there and I would rather not get bogged down by a gigantic 128 bot tournament. However, I am using Crash & Burn as an excuse to try and get my interest back into real-life building. The points system on Advanced Robot Combat is still my favourite alongside the FRA system, but ARC does not give me the same itch to build a real bot as the FRA fights did. I've been missing that, and I want that back. :V
Now, my Ruination series of tournaments on ARC will continue as planned, so if you're into a points system with the option for more radical designs, you should check that out. Crash & Burn, however, will still utilize the good ol' realistic stat system that FRA has come to embrace.
If, IF you are interested, put your name and some robots down (with the FRA Fanfic stat system and within the newest set of Robot Wars rules) and I will go over them.
Expect sign-ups for Crash & Burn 6 to open soon. Don't worry, I won't ban you from it if you're simply annoying. I will, however, ban robots that are illegal or just plain stupid. We've done this before, so expect the same type of stat hounding as before.
Now... with that out of the way... here is the Grand Annihilator for The Crash & Burn Mini-Tournament of Death #5.
