Anyone used these ESC's before?

Spotted these an a thread ages ago and I was wondering if anyone has used them?
Would I need to hack them for robot drive or are they good as they are?

in which case, they'll be a pain in the a**e to use in robots. Peter (Scruffy, Night Fury) uses them but he appears to be the lucky one who bought some that didn't have the brake function.

Ah ok, can they be hacked at all to remove the brake? Or some how programmed?

Not sure to be honest, the folk on here using them with the braking issue haven't found a way to resolve it so unless you're a programmer/Marto, I don't think it would be easy. Best getting a couple of Botbitz 85As if you can afford it, or even their cheaper 30A controllers.

If you look for car ESC's for our purposes, try to find programmable ones with forward/reverse no break option and the capability of putting reverse at 100% so you can turn on the spot.
