Bending ally is not too hard below 3mm just a good work bench some strong clamps, wood straight edge and a dead blow hammer to not mark the ally. 4mm I bent using a blow lamp to soften the material and bent on a skip front door as you require basic leverage to bend neatly as even a bolted down bench and clamps wont give enough grip at 4mm.

best tip small bends at a time and using heat gently in my opinion the slight property change due to heat will be minimal on most standard ally grades

No, must be easy access with no tools.

    9.5 Manual Isolation Valve
Gas cylinders charged to pressures of greater than 50psi must incorporate a manual isolation valve that can
be operated from outside of the robot.
    9.6 Remote Isolation Valve
Where the manual isolation valve is not integral to the gas cylinder (for example: the gas is normally
released as soon as the cylinder is screwed into it’s mating pneumatic connection) must have an additional
remote isolation valve accessible from outside of the robot.
    9.6.1 Position
Any remote isolation valve shall be positioned to minimize the pipe length between it and the cylinder.
This pipe length must fully vent before the cylinder is fully unscrewed from the pneumatic connection.

it only states manual release ie, not automatic but does not mention the use of tools

That section of the rules is to do with the gas on valve not the pressure dump valve. You can use a 17mm socket to turn the gas on at the start of a fight. But at the end to dump remaining gas in the system you or rather we arena marshals must be able to do so without tools.

I think the easiest way to depressurise the whole system could be achieved through the safety valve (eliminating the need for a separate dump valve) Most safety valves can be manually opened by pulling a ring on the valve itself. If you install the safety valve directly onto the buffer tank, and attach a suitable lanyard and ring to the safety valve, all you need to do is pull the lanyard to dump all the gas.

Hand valve it is but next sections also on states manual operation of dump valve, therefore no mention of tooling.

Just a quick ebay link going to use this 20mm aluminium tube, m12 thread in each end and will be the frame braces on ceors to reduce the stress on the flipper arm brace.

Batt box and mount completed today, also all final parts ordered for the drive upgrade video this week sometime of the first test drive if all goes well.

EO's would you let me run the standard 17mm t spanner for the manual release on a temp basis, it will be visible and marked as to position but without major and I mean major redesign its just not possible to get your hand in, at best finger tips and its a stiff valve.

Once ceros proves its worth after a couple of events I will then under guidance from yourself and other experienced roboters to gain a long term solution and redesign.

Cant as the dump needs to stay open in the pits, has to be something that will stay open on its own.

I won't allow a robot in the arena that needs to use a tool to dump it, if something moves inside or gets damaged, you have no way of making the system safe. Why cant you just move the dump, and run a small hose to it?
