Thanks for the tip! I'll have a look, not entirely sure how angle grinder gears will hold up with the strain of the bar suddenly stopping, but I'll give it a go!
Mild steel is very cheap too, I know someone who's got loads of small offcuts, and they're practically giving it away to me (and they've offered to weld it together properly too, so that's nice of them!) so I'm going to use as much as I can for the bodywork for now, and it's at least a decent enough body for the thing! I'm going to upgrade in the future to better materials like Hardox or something if I can fit it in the weight, but for now it'll hopefully suffice! I'm not using too much either, I'm getting the machine as low down to the ground as I possibly can, and only putting thick armour on the sides (please be kind on me, axe-wielders) so it's not too heavy either... or at least, that's what I hope haha!
360 was the first big brushless spinner in England and it uses angle grinder gears... They haven't even worn down a bit yet...
I take that back then, guess I'll get some angle grinder gears for it after all! Just need to find some that fit and the job'll be a good'un - thanks!
