Thread: BW drive system

  1. #1
Been looking into BW parts and want some clarification on suitability.

    Drive motors: x2 of these - http://www.technobotsonline.com/polo...red-motor.html

    OR

    x4 of these - http://www.technobotsonline.com/polo...rmotor-hp.html

    ESC's: x2 botbitz 10a

    Batteries: Any type around 1200ah

Course I will look at a weapon system but want to figure out the drive first

Thought so, I was thinking 2 of the 12v motors but just wanted to check

I think a hacked set of these should do the trick:

The motors in question seem a little heavy for this 195g each with the total weight at 1400g this would be about 26% weight allocation on the two motors alone!

Might be good to have a look at the Americans and see what they use

Plus those are only 150rpm and rated to 6v. I've been looking at these:

I want to run a spinner on 4s lipo, so I think 12v rated motors will last a little longer than screwdriver motors. I've bought smaller motors from this seller before for antweights and they were pretty good. Took a while to arrive though.

I have been looking at either two of the above style of motor or four of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-1000RP...item4d02e1d617

I'd run 3s, should make for decent speed and reliability, assuming any of these Chinese motors can be trusted to last.

I know a few people have been running cheap Chinese copies of the Sanyo motors, and they seem pretty good. I might go for 3s just to save some money on controllers and batteries, but it would be nice to have 4s for the weapon motor.
