Found this whilst moving my stuff up to Aberdeen. As I don't think I'll be ever charging nicad or nimh again I might as well pass it on to someone that will use it. I do also have a dapter somewhere that allows it to charge up A123 packs that I can dig out if the person buying it fancies it. And yes it will charge a 40cell nicad or nimh pack at 5A
