Yeah exactly, its all a bit of fun and I'm enjoying learning and making friends as I go. :-) I've decided to give the small motors a go with some of the pololu hubs and wheels. They even sell the motor mountings for a few quid. The thing I'm excited by is the fact that if its reasonable and survives an event it's an easy to sort drive train for new builders. It also means virtually anyone could build a beetle or feather. If I was building a contender for the UK champs I know I would need a properly made chassis and a couple of hundred quids worth of drivetrains lol :-) its nice to hear from people who are also just out to have fun n learn :-)
